As he prepared for the Dragon-Slaying Assembly, Three Corpses Cave began forcing open the Dragon-Trapping Tower, and Xu Taiping chose to face Du Heng himself.

• Xu Taiping burned Demon Emperor Jiao’s body, resisted the Heartless Demon Emperor’s attempts to bargain, and prepared to fight before an attack from Outer Heaven forced him to defend against a vast blade shadow.
• Xiang Nantian and Qi Haitang arrived with the Geng Metal Thousand-Eyed Crow, which destroyed the Heartless Demon Emperor’s frozen body, then tested Xu Taiping’s resolve and showed him the sealed Room Ding in the Dragon-Trapping Tower.

• Du Heng challenged Xu Taiping and battered him with his Great Sage Physique, but Xu Taiping unleashed his Raging Dragon Physique and fought back.
• Zhang Moyan, Chu Tiancheng, and Duan Xiaoyu were framed after their Jade Jue were switched, until the black-robed Xu Taiping exposed the stolen tokens and fought the Profound Elixir Palace elders.
• Jiang Xuanfeng intervened, recognized Xu Taiping, and escorted him toward the Profound Elixir Palace while ordering its elders to look after Zhang Moyan and the others.
