Xu Taiping and his allies broke Yuyangzi’s Ghost Domain and defeated him, then joined the Azure Profound Sect’s survivors against a vast ghost horde and three Blood Garments. As the battle reached a standstill, Xu Taiping glimpsed Lü Sword Nine fighting Zhao Xuantan in a Heavenly Palace.

• Xu Taiping reunited with Zhao Linglong and the others at the ruins of Taixuan Sect, learned Yuyangzi commanded seven powerful Ghost Servants, and planned a coordinated attack on them.
• Xu Taiping and his allies split the Ghost Servants into separate battles, while Xu Taiping subdued Belly Drum and helped wound all seven at once, temporarily weakening Yuyangzi’s Ghost Domain.
• Xu Taiping reached Zhao Qian at Listening Wind Tower and fought Yuyangzi, breaking his weapons and defenses before Yuyangzi reclaimed the Ghost Servants’ power and transformed into a giant rakshasa.

Xu Taiping led the Azure Profound Sect through the Ghost Domain, gathering Plum Blood Talismans and reinforcements to confront Zhao Xuantan and the Demon Mother’s forces. After reaching Taixuan Hall and rescuing Lü Daoxuan, Xu Taiping stayed behind to fight Zhao Xuantan and called for Lady Jade Mother as he faced a fatal attack.

• Xu Taiping redirected the Demon-Slaying Army to evade the Blood Garments’ mirror ambush, then Blade Ghost killed Mirror Ghost and revealed he needed to retrieve his sealed body from the First Demon Grotto.
• Blade Ghost identified himself as Heavenly Lord Neck Metal, Li Wenqiong, and left Xu Taiping to hold off Zhao Xuantan while he sought his physique.

The battle turned into a desperate struggle across the Ghost Domain, where allies from Yellow Springs and the Lower Realm joined the fight, and Bu Xueting sacrificed himself to give Xu Taiping another chance.

• Xu Taiping and Jade Mother fought Zhao Xuantan in Taixuan Hall, but the Demon Mother awakened and trapped Jade Mother in a blood-mist barrier.
• Jade Mother explained the Great Void Calamity and worked to restore the Shangqing Edict while Xu Taiping and the cultivators held off Zhao Xuantan and the ghost forces.

After entering the Shangqing Realm, he and Blade Ghost pursued Liu Dong Cang into the Jade Appraisal Pavilion’s mine, where Xu Taiping’s divine being body won the loyalty of the tomb’s beasts.
