Background / History

Icewave Academy Selection

Bing Qing'er first appears as Icewave Academy's leading senior sister and Ye Lingyun's opponent in the final round of its internal tournament selection. Her Ice Crystal Phoenix creates a frozen domain that heavily suppresses him. After his Nine-Tailed Heavenly Fox breaks her defenses and throws her against the platform's edge, she rises despite her injury and unleashes Absolute Zero, forcing the battle into another stalemate 63.

Ye Lingyun breaks the stalemate by evolving his Ice Seal Throne into Ice Empress Descends. Its Ice Empress's Wrath freezes her phoenix and knocks her down. Bing Qing'er accepts the defeat and acknowledges that his strength deserves the championship. She remains one of the seven selected academy representatives and receives a Star Crystal to prepare for the coming tournament 64.

Star Great Plane Academy Tournament

After congratulating Ye Lingyun on reaching the peak of the Star Emperor Stage, Bing Qing'er joins the team aboard the Ice Merchant Guild's Star Cruiser. On Tianshu Star Island, she discusses leading rivals—including Huo Yunfei and Luo Tianxing—with him. During the spirit-plant collection trial, she enters the small world first and instructs the team to split up while remembering their rendezvous point 65 66 67.

When rival contestants surround the team over the Star Spirit Vine, she leads the others out of the encirclement while Ye Lingyun stays to fight Huo Yunfei. Later, while he holds off a regenerating shadow creature, she discovers an enormous ancient tree at the forest's center and identifies it as the creature's true body. This discovery enables him to destroy the tree and secure the team's escape 69 70.

Following Ye Lingyun's championship victory, she encourages him to accept a year of advanced training on Tianshu Star Island, despite her reluctance to part with him 74.

Four Domains Battlefield

Bing Qing'er becomes a prominent Alliance Army warrior during the war against the Shadow Race. Her Ice Crystal Phoenix kills large numbers of enemies, earning her the title Goddess of Ice and recognition on the Merit Wall 82.

She and Xue Yao later lead Icewave Academy warriors in defending a besieged city. Wounded, cut off from retreat, and awaiting reinforcements, they continue fighting until Ye Lingyun arrives. Together, they repel the Shadow Race assault. Afterward, Bing Qing'er expresses concern about his cultivation and assures him that Icewave Academy will always be his home 84 85.

Starblade Squad and the Starshadow Desert

Ye Lingyun chooses Bing Qing'er as the first teammate he approaches for a mission to destroy the Shadow Race's supply lines. She accepts and becomes a founding member of the Starblade Squad. During their preparations, she identifies close combat and defense as her specialties; in their first recorded skirmish, her Ice Seal Domain slows enemy scouts for the team's attacks 97 98 99.

The squad crosses the Starshadow Desert to attack a secret supply base. At the Black Fortress, Bing Qing'er proposes using the terrain for a flanking attack and fights the defenders with her phoenix, sword, and domain. After the base's destruction, she follows Ye Lingyun's order to flee separately from the pursuing Shadow Race forces 100 101 102.

During the squad's encounter with the awakened Shadow Ancestor, she initially protests giving up the fight. The enemy's overwhelming strength leaves her and the other teammates unable to assist Ye Lingyun directly. The squad ultimately escapes the desert 104.

Her determination is tempered by tactical caution. She refuses to abandon a besieged city, but also warns the Starblade Squad against underestimating the desert and the Shadow Race. Her suggestion to attack the Black Fortress from the flank reflects this practical approach to danger 84 100 101.

She is openly supportive of her companions, congratulating Ye Lingyun's progress, encouraging his training opportunities, and worrying about his recovery after his absence from the battlefield 65 74 85.
