| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Level 90 → Titled Douluo | 56 | Recounted retrospectively: reached level 90 before Spirit Hall’s pursuit but lacked a ninth ring. Ah Yin’s sacrifice supplied the ring that allowed him to become a Titled Douluo and repel his pursuers. |
| Level 93 | 93 | His stated level when he used the Great Sumeru Hammer to severely wound the level 96 Qian Xunji during the earlier conflict. |
| Super Douluo / level 96 | 7 57 | Identified early as a Super Douluo. Later revealed to have reached level 96 despite longstanding injuries; worsening damage had caused his cultivation to stagnate. |
| Level 97 / Peak Douluo | 57 | Saint Origin Grass and Tang Xuan’s meridian treatment essentially healed his injuries, replenished his potential, and enabled his breakthrough. |
| Thunder God’s Nine Trials accepted | 66 | Passed the Thunder God’s assessment after fighting Lei En. Received a Golden Lightning Mark on his forehead. |
| First and second trials completed | 67 68 | The first required reaching the Thunder God’s Path’s 500th step within a year. He continued cultivating at the 758th step; subsequently completed the second trial and began the third. |
| Peak level 97 | 70 | Reached the peak of level 97 after nearly a year of trial training. |
| Fifth trial completed | 90 | Rewards from the first five trials transformed his ring configuration into eight black rings and one red ring. |
| Level 98 / Peak Douluo | 103 | Confirmed during the battle to rescue Tang Chen. His Clear Sky Hammer had evolved four times since level 95 and weighed 25,000 jin. |
| Peak level 98 | 112 | Returned Ah Yin’s sacrificial ring to resurrect her, then replaced it with a 300,000-year God-Given Soul Ring. |
| Level 99 | 122 124 | Approached the breakthrough while cultivating in Clear Sky City; confirmed at level 99 during the continental war. The war delayed his return for the ninth trial. |
| Thunder God / First-Level God | 131 133 | Completed the inheritance and emerged from the vanished Thunder God Secret Realm as the new Thunder God. |
| Level 103 deity | 141 | Final documented level; possesses ten soul rings and retains the Thunder God position. |

Background / History
Tang Hao was a direct-lineage member of the Clear Sky Sect, regarded as its most outstanding genius in a hundred years. His grandfather, Tang Chen, considered him the descendant most likely to inherit his mantle 9 58 104.
He married Ah Yin, the Blue Silver Emperor, who had taken human form. After Spirit Hall discovered her identity as a hundred-thousand-year soul beast, Qian Xunji led three Titled Douluos in pursuit to obtain her Soul Ring and Soul Bone. Tang Hao had just reached level 90 and could not defeat them without a ninth ring. Ah Yin sacrificed herself to him, enabling him to become a Titled Douluo and gravely wound Qian Xunji 56. Although Tang Hao believed Qian Xunji died from those wounds, Tang Xuan’s account identifies Bibi Dong as the person who killed the wounded Pope 17 56.
Following the conflict, Tang Hao was expelled, and the Clear Sky Sect withdrew from the world. His already-injured father died that same year, leaving Tang Hao burdened by guilt over his indirect involvement. He hid with his sons in Holy Soul Village and worked as a blacksmith 56 104.
Ah Yin left behind a seed, which Tang Hao planted in a concealed cave behind a waterfall. He hoped her ability, Spring Breeze Brings New Life, would eventually restore her, but believed he could not live long enough to see her regain a hundred thousand years of cultivation 56.
Appearance
- Early appearance: A middle-aged man with tangled hair, an unshaven, sallow face, and a strong smell of alcohol 2.
- During his years away: Wore tattered black robes; his face appeared older and remained weathered 38.
- Disguise: Used a black hood and cloth mask when testing Tang Xuan in the Star Dou Great Forest 56.
- After recovery: Trimmed his beard, combed his hair, and looked somewhat younger as his strength increased 104.
- Divine markings: Received a Golden Lightning Mark with his trials. After ascension, lightning surrounded his towering figure and seven silver halos appeared behind him 66 132.
Personality
Ah Yin’s sacrifice left Tang Hao dispirited and doubtful of the value of strength. In Holy Soul Village, he drank heavily, slept through much of the day, and relied on his young sons for daily care. His initial refusal to let them attend a soul master academy came from his conviction that becoming powerful was meaningless if one still could not protect loved ones 2 3 6.
His reserve concealed considerable tenderness. Discovering both sons’ twin martial souls moved him to embrace them and weep. After six years apart, he admitted that he had failed as a father and credited Tang Xuan with caring for Tang San better than he had 7 38.
Tang Hao is stubborn about his own injuries but intensely protective of his family. He searched for Tang Xuan after his disappearance, worried over his dangerous trial training, and confronted Spirit Hall when it threatened his sons. By his return to the Clear Sky Sect, he insisted on settling his own dispute rather than letting Tang Xuan continue fighting on his behalf 38 56 68 90 114.
