Yesterday's rain had continued until midnight, only just stopping at dawn.
Early in the morning, Zheng Qing pushed open the window, and a cold, damp breath carrying the scent of earth and flowers rushed at his face. He could not help shivering several times as he pulled his robe tighter around himself.
When the drizzling rain of early spring fell to the ground, it was already half-frozen. At the touch of the cold wind, it dispersed through the air like mist, resembling dry, powdery blowing snow. Moist and crystalline, it could be called a low-end version of diamond dust, casting its translucent net over the entire world.
The New Year had only just passed, and the chill between heaven and earth had not yet fully faded. An old saying went, "Three Cold Four Warm": if there were three consecutive cold days at the end of winter and beginning of spring, they would be followed by four warm days. After this cycle repeated for a while, spring would truly arrive.
Considering that tomorrow was the day students returned to school for registration, if this gloomy chill continued tomorrow, then the first week of school should turn warm—at the very least, the first four days of next week ought to be warm.
This sort of weather arrangement was very considerate and friendly toward the young wizards returning to school after the holiday.

Zheng Qing did not, as usual, carry a little duster off to supervise Poseidon's studies, nor did he squat beside the little garden and watch Su Ya work.
He had more important matters today.
A green parrot had flown over from the Jiuyou Academy Office Building, informing the young wizard that Old Yao had come to his office this morning. This was the "friendship"
