Naruto's Blood

"Chakra truly was a miraculous power." Even though Kenichi Amamiya had long known of the Tailed Beast Bomb, only facing it directly let him feel that kind of pressure.

For an instant, Kenichi Amamiya even felt as though he had gone back to high school, caught looking at his phone by a teacher, his heart pounding wildly.

"But the target isn't the village—it's Hokage Rock?" Kenichi Amamiya watched the Tailed Beast Bomb fly overhead and noticed the target of the attack.

Yet the Tailed Beast Bomb did not erupt. It vanished in an instant, while a massive explosion sounded in the distance. Kenichi Amamiya understood; the Fourth had probably made his move.

The Flying Thunder God truly was a powerful ninjutsu. It could even transfer away a Tailed Beast Bomb—didn't that mean it could move Fuel-Air Explosive Bombs and Thermobaric Bombs as well?

All it would take was leaving a mark at the target location, instantly teleporting a thermobaric bomb there, retreating quickly, and detonating it. The destructive power would be terrifying.

It was practically a strategic-level ninjutsu. No wonder Minato Namikaze had been known as the Yellow Flash. Speed taken to the extreme was indeed a kind of power.

"Have you ever been kicked at the speed of light?" For some reason, Kenichi Amamiya could not help linking Minato Namikaze with Kizaru from Next Door, making him shudder.

Impossible. Minato Namikaze was nothing like Kizaru.

Watching Minato Namikaze vanish and the Konoha ninja attack the Nine-Tails once more, Kenichi Amamiya yawned. He was destined to have little involvement in this major event.

No, that was not quite right. There was still something he could do. For example, Naruto Uzumaki, who had just been born—perhaps his bloodline concealed some secret.

Kenichi Amamiya wanted to study how Naruto Uzumaki, Asura's reincarnation, had been affected by his bloodline.

And could Asura be stripped from Naruto? What would Naruto become in the future if he were no longer Asura's reincarnation?

Kenichi Amamiya was very curious.

With that thought, Kenichi Amamiya decided to give it a try. If he did not, he would always feel as though he had missed out.

He could certainly wait until Naruto left the village on missions in the future before obtaining his blood, but that would take far too long. He did not want to waste that time.

Besides, Kenichi Amamiya remembered that this period offered a perfect opportunity.

"Lord Fourth, your son shouldn't be with you, should he?" Kenichi Amamiya murmured.

He did not remember much of the plot, but he remembered that the Fourth had placed Naruto somewhere else first. This moment could become the ideal time for him to obtain Naruto's DNA information.

However, after searching around, Kenichi Amamiya gave up helplessly. The Fourth had not left his son Naruto at home, and Kenichi Amamiya had not found him there.

"Umbilical cord blood would work too, but where did Kushina give birth? Even Teacher doesn't know." Kenichi Amamiya sighed. He had originally intended to seize this chance to collect it.

But he had not expected to lack sufficient intelligence, so this plan could only be abandoned.

Once Little Naruto grew a little older, he could infiltrate Konoha and collect it then. It should not be too late by that point.

"The funds are more or less ready, and I've obtained some equipment as well." Kenichi Amamiya rubbed his chin. He had originally planned to capture a few test subjects, but nearly everyone in the village who could flee had already fled.

After making a round through the area, he had not found any suitable test subjects.

This disappointed Kenichi Amamiya somewhat, but as he watched the Nine-Tails display its overwhelming might, he thought of something.

"If I were the Fourth, I would definitely place Naruto somewhere safe. Somewhere the Nine-Tails could not threaten, somewhere sufficiently hidden." Kenichi Amamiya fell into thought.

It definitely could not be inside the village. Although the Third was trying to drive the Nine-Tails out, even a stray aftershock would be enough to take Naruto's tiny life.

So Naruto definitely was not in the village. He might even be positioned diagonally opposite the Nine-Tails, at the farthest possible point and the least likely place to be attacked.

With that in mind, Kenichi Amamiya resolutely headed toward the other side of the village. He ran quickly. He did not know how long Obito could hold off the Fourth; he only knew that he had to hurry.

"He could be over here." Kenichi Amamiya kept checking room after room, but found nothing.

Just as he was about to give up, he seemed to find his target: a room protected by a simple defensive barrier.

The barrier was extremely well concealed. If Kenichi Amamiya had not touched it, he would never have known there was a protective barrier here. He knew this was most likely Naruto's hiding place.

Fortunately, the defensive barrier hastily set up by the Fourth was not particularly sturdy. Had he sacrificed some defense to preserve its secrecy?

That certainly made things easier for Kenichi Amamiya.

After breaking the seal, he saw tiny Naruto inside the room. Without hesitation, Kenichi Amamiya took out a Test Tube and collected one of Naruto's hairs and a drop of blood, then hurried away.

The moment Kenichi Amamiya left, Minato Namikaze appeared in the room. He panted heavily, nervously scanned the surroundings, then pulled Naruto into his arms.

Only after seeing that his son was unharmed did Minato Namikaze finally let out a breath of relief.

"Madara Uchiha is alive? What a terrifying enemy." Minato Namikaze clutched his waist. The moment he sensed the barrier being attacked, he had wanted to return.

But Madara Uchiha's fierce attacks delayed him, and the anxious Minato Namikaze took a hit head-on before making it back.

"The barrier was breached, but Naruto..." Minato Namikaze could not understand it. He had feared something might happen to his child, but fortunately Naruto was fine.

He had noticed someone fleeing outside earlier, but Naruto's safety had mattered more then. Now that Naruto was confirmed safe, that person had already fled far away.

He could only deal with the person suspected to be Madara Uchiha and the Nine-Tails first.

Kenichi Amamiya returned to his teacher's laboratory. At a time like this, he did not need to worry about anyone watching him; everyone was busy.

Teacher Orochimaru was busy recording the forbidden jutsu from the Forbidden Jutsu Scroll. The Third was busy driving the Nine-Tails out of Konoha and reducing the damage to Konoha. Danzo and Root were busy surrounding the Uchiha Clan.

Obito was busy beating up his own teacher.

Kenichi Amamiya felt that being a teacher in the Ninja World was truly dangerous. At the slightest provocation, a darkened disciple would drag out his teacher to prove his own path.

"Being busy is good." Kenichi Amamiya stretched lazily, then slipped into the Underground Laboratory. Whatever life-and-death battle was happening outside had nothing to do with him anymore.

In the manga, Minato Namikaze put Naruto down and barely mentioned him afterward, but I felt that not setting up any barrier at all was rather careless, so I simply made it that he had set up a concealed protective array.

Don't dwell too much on this issue.
