Nangong Wentian and his companions sat in a circle with Shennong Beast.
"Shennong Beast, you said Brother Yun sent you to help us?"
"Yes. Not only that, I'll travel with you to defeat the Heaven-Earth Alliance Leader and save the Jade Dragon Kingdom."
"Wonderful! With you joining us, Shennong Beast, we'll definitely defeat the Heaven-Earth Alliance Leader!"
"So, Shennong Beast, what Divine Weapon can you transform into?"
"I can transform into the Shennong Ruler to heal injuries and illnesses."
When Nangong Wentian heard that Shennong Beast possessed the miraculous ability to cure illnesses, joy surged through him. His beloved Heaven Crystal Beast was suffering from an illness and urgently needed treatment.
Anxious beyond measure, he asked, "Shennong Beast, can you really cure Heaven Crystal Beast?" His voice held a hint of urgency and hope.
He then hastily added, "Heaven Crystal Beast has already fallen ill, and the situation is critical!" It was as though he feared Shennong Beast did not understand Heaven Crystal Beast's condition.
Yet Shennong Beast remained remarkably calm in the face of Nangong Wentian's worry. With a gentle nod, the beast said, "Yes, leave it to me." Those few words gave Nangong Wentian immense comfort and hope.
Shennong Beast walked slowly toward Heaven Crystal Beast with steady steps. Upon reaching the ailing beast, Shennong Beast suddenly stopped, and a dazzling green light began radiating from the beast's entire body.
The green light was like the first ray of sunshine in spring, warm and gentle, illuminating everything around them. Bathed in its glow, Nangong Wentian and the others felt warmth well up in their hearts, their entire bodies enveloped in a comfort unlike anything they had ever experienced.
They closed their eyes and quietly savored the soothing light, expressions of utter pleasure appearing on their faces. Everyone was immersed in the wondrous experience, as though time itself had stopped.
Under the green light, Heaven Crystal Beast's listless condition gradually improved. The beast's dull fur began to shine again, and those tightly shut eyes slowly opened, revealing a spark of life.
After a while, Heaven Crystal Beast finally regained full vitality, springing to those feet and leaping about joyfully like a child given a new life. The beast's movements were light and nimble, with no sign of the earlier illness.
"Heaven Crystal Beast, how do you feel?"
"Wentian, I feel great."
"That's wonderful, Heaven Crystal Beast!"
Afterward, everyone continued on their way. Then, following the plot, Heaven Crystal Beast fell ill again, and everyone was caught in a crisis. Nangong Wentian shouted, "Zero on the left, fire on the right! Thunder God, aid me!" Heaven Crystal Beast immediately awakened Flame Form.
Meanwhile, over on Yun Tian's side...
Yun Tian, Ling'er, and the other two sat in the vehicle, chatting and laughing as it drove itself toward their destination.
Inside the vehicle, Ling'er and the girls sat gathered around the television, engrossed in a program. Yun Tian sat off to one side, fully focused on playing the mobile game Honor of Kings.
Controlling his hero, Zhang Fei, Yun Tian rampaged through King's Canyon as though no one could stand in his way. His movements were seamless, and a single combo sent the opposing enemies falling one after another. With victory in sight, Yun Tian prepared to unleash his final ultimate, wipe out every enemy in one stroke, and claim a pentakill.
At that critical moment, a shrill cry suddenly rang out above the vehicle. The unexpected sound struck like a bolt from the blue, giving Yun Tian such a fright that his finger involuntarily twitched.
That single twitch interrupted his perfect combo, and the enemies seized the chance to escape his attack. Watching the pentakill that had been within his grasp slip away, Yun Tian's expression froze, his face filled with disbelief and frustration.
"Fuck! Who was that? Are you screaming for your damn mother?" Yun Tian roared furiously, his voice echoing through the vehicle with unmistakable anger and resentment.
His face dark with anger, Yun Tian headed straight for the door without another word, clearly intent on settling the score. Seeing this, Ling'er hurriedly asked, "Husband, where are you going?"
Without stopping or looking back, Yun Tian replied, "I'm going to teach that bastard outside a lesson for making that noise and costing me my pentakill!" Irritation edged his voice.
Hearing this, Ling'er hurried after him and caught his sleeve.
"What is it, Ling'er?"
"Nothing. I just wanted to remind you not to forget to take us camping today. You promised us."
Yun Tian thought for a moment. He had indeed promised the girls yesterday.
"All right, don't worry."
Once outside, Yun Tian looked around. Seeing no one, he shouted.
"Who was yelling out here? Don't you know you interrupted my game? Do you have any idea how much you've hurt me? My pentakill is gone!"
"I'm warning you, you'd better not let me catch you, or I'll beat you bloody!"
Just as Yun Tian was cursing, a voice rang out overhead.
"Hey, what are you yammering about?"
Yun Tian looked up and saw Dongfang Tiexin. Wearing a blue dress, she stood atop a phoenix, looking valiant and striking. Yun Tian was instantly transfixed. Seeing his dazed expression, Dongfang Tiexin smiled and said,
"Hey, isn't it a little rude to stare at me like that?"
At her words, Yun Tian realized that his behavior was indeed impolite and said,
"Sorry, I couldn't help myself for a moment."
Although Yun Tian had apologized, Dongfang Tiexin clearly was not willing to let it slide, leaving him in a difficult position. If the Heaven-Earth Alliance Leader or any of those other bastards had said that, Yun Tian would have slapped him to death already. But this was Dongfang Tiexin. Cute girls always enjoyed special privileges.
"Then what do you want me to do?"
Dongfang Tiexin tilted her head and thought for a moment.
"Hmm, as punishment, your time today belongs to me. Spend the day having fun with me."
Upon hearing this, Yun Tian said,
"Huh? Why do you want me to spend the day with you?"
"Never mind why. Just tell me whether you'll do it."
"Uh, I can, but I promised my girls I'd take them camping today. I can't break my word, so I..."
"It's fine. You can bring them along," Dongfang Tiexin said before Yun Tian could finish, as though afraid he would refuse.
Yun Tian had not expected Dongfang Tiexin to say that outright. Seeing how determined she was, he said nothing more and agreed.
"All right. We're going camping today, so come with us."
"Sure," Dongfang Tiexin agreed readily.
"Then come down first. I bet you haven't had lunch yet."
"No, not yet."
"Come on, then. I'll let you try my cooking," Yun Tian called.
"Great! Then I won't stand on ceremony," Dongfang Tiexin said, promptly having the phoenix land.
