"I caught this fatty with just a little trick."
"Damn you! Heaven Crystal Beast, transform!"
Nangong Wentian immediately transformed into Light Heaven Crystal. Normally, Beiming Lei should have run for his life at this point, but he didn't. He thought Jue Tianji had vastly overestimated Nangong Wentian and his friends' fighting ability. On top of that, he had captured Ximen Xiao without any trouble, so he was feeling pretty good about himself. He had even developed the delusion that he was an awesome, badass powerhouse who could take the transformed Nangong Wentian head-on.
After transforming, Nangong Wentian wasted no time and went straight for his ultimate move. The Light Dragon flew straight at Beiming Lei, while Mr. Full of Himself charged right into it.
"Paltry tricks! You dare show off before a master? Behold my Beiming Divine Fist!"
(Yun Tian and the others had already arrived nearby.
"Xue'er, has your brother always been this fearless?"
"Yeah, Little Xue. Your brother just charged in bare-handed."
Watching Beiming Lei rush in with his bare hands, Beiming Xue covered her face.
"I don't know him. He's not my brother.")
Nangong Wentian was stunned. Seeing Beiming Lei advance bare-handed instead of retreating, he thought he must be an expert. But when the two sides collided, something unexpected happened. Once the smoke cleared, Beiming Lei was lying in a crater. Yep, he looked as though he had passed away peacefully.
"Heaven Crystal Beast, what's going on? Why's he lying there?"
"Wentian, I don't know either. From the way he acted, I thought he was pretty badass. But now it looks like he's nothing."
"Right. Absolutely nothing."
Beiming Lei had just come to in the crater when he heard Nangong Wentian and Heaven Crystal Beast talking. He was so furious that he passed out again.
(Ling'er said, "What the hell? How did he lose already? I thought he was an expert."
Tie Xin said, "Yeah. Seeing him take on a Divine Weapon Beast head-on, I thought he was really badass too. But that's all he's got?"
With that, everyone turned to Beiming Xue, their looks seeming to say, "This is your brother?" Beiming Xue gave up completely. How could she have such an idiotic brother? Had he really been picked up somewhere?)
Nangong Wentian went over and untied the ropes around Ximen Xiao.
"Wentian, you're finally here! That bastard didn't just capture me, he beat me too!"
As he spoke, he burst into tears. Only after crying for a while did Ximen Xiao remember the man who had captured him.
"Wentian, where's that bastard?"
"He's already been defeated. He's lying in that crater now," Nangong Wentian said, pointing in one direction.
"What? You mean he's already been defeated?"
"Yep."
"And he's lying in that crater?"
"Yep."
"Hahahahaha! Great!" Ximen Xiao immediately scrambled up from the ground and rushed toward the crater.
Ximen Xiao climbed into the crater and looked at the battered Beiming Lei.
"Hahaha! Weren't you acting all cocky?" As he spoke, he slapped Beiming Lei across the face.
"That's for capturing me!" Another slap.
"That's for beating me!" Another slap.
"Beiming Divine Fist, my ass! Who do you think you are, using the same name as me?" He delivered several more slaps.
(Ling'er said, "He's getting beaten way too badly, isn't he?"
"Yeah, his face is practically turning into a pig's head."
Yun Tian said, "Xue'er, aren't you going out there to stop him?"
Beiming Xue didn't respond. Yun Tian turned to look and found her watching Beiming Lei get beaten, muttering,
"Yes, just like that. Harder!"
"Don't just hit the left side. There's the right side too. Yes, that's right. Keep both sides even."
"That's for not believing me! That's for capturing me!")
In the end, even Nangong Wentian and Heaven Crystal Beast couldn't bear to watch anymore. They hurried over to stop him.
"That's enough, Xiao. You'll beat him to death if you keep going."
"Yeah, Xiao. Look what you've done to his face."
Ximen Xiao took a look. That did seem to be the case, so he stopped.
Looking at Beiming Lei in the crater, his face swollen like a pig's head, he asked,
"Wentian, what do we do now?"
"Hmm, let's take him back and see what Uncle Beiming says."
"Okay."
And so they took Beiming Lei back with them.
