After Yun Tian and the others finished camping, they returned to the vehicle. Remembering Nangong Wentian's group, Yun Tian checked on them through the system. Not bad-they were about to reach Beiming Mountain Manor, and Fierce Yama happened to be there. Huh? Yun Tian noticed a lone blinking dot on the map. He tapped it and found that it was the foolish Beiming Lei.
From the looks of it, their time in Beiming Xue Snowfield would soon be over. Where should they go next? Eastern Sea Pavilion? Dongfang Xiong? That sounded good. He definitely wasn't going there for Dongfang Xiong. He wanted to see the sea. Yes, that was right. Just to see the sea.
Yun Tian called out to Beiming Xue.
"Xue, come here for a moment."

(Earlier, Yun Tian had competed against the girls in a fishing contest and won, but Ling'er and the others refused to honor the result. Dongfang Tiexin turned her head away. Seeing her reaction, Yun Tian realized something and said with a mischievous grin,
"Tiexin, are you jealous?"
Tiexin exploded the moment she heard that.
"Nonsense! Who do you think I am? Why would I be jealous?"
Her reaction made it obvious to everyone that she really was jealous, but nobody said it aloud.
"All right, I get it," Yun Tian said. "You're not jealous."
Although Yun Tian claimed to believe her, his expression and tone clearly said otherwise.
Dongfang Tiexin grew anxious.
"Really! I'm not jealous! You have to believe me!"
"Sure, sure, sure," Yun Tian said.
"Yes, we believe you," Ling'er said.
Dongfang Tiexin felt like crying. Yun Tian came over and ruffled her hair.
"All right, all right. We believe you. How about this? I'll give each of you a little present."
"Really?" The girls were thrilled.
"Yes."
Yun Tian took several bracelets out of the system and gave one to each girl: purple for Beiming Xue, green for Dongfang Tiexin, white for Ling'er, and pink for Bailing. The girls were delighted with their gifts.)

The speakers were none other than Clever Strategist Jue Tianji and Dark Penguin.
"Hahaha! Now that I've tricked that dumbass Beiming Lei into leaving, Beiming Mountain Manor is completely under my control!"
Just then, the crystal ball rang, interrupting Jue Tianji's gloating. Irritated, he answered it at once.

Dark Penguin watched as Jue Tianji swore furiously. Suddenly, Jue Tianji's expression changed, and his manner became meek and subservient.
"Alliance Leader, sir..."
After the call ended, Jue Tianji slumped to the floor and thought,
I'm finished. I just cursed out the Alliance Leader. He's going to behead me!
Dark Penguin stepped forward.
"Master, what's wrong?"
Jue Tianji immediately stood up and resumed his arrogant demeanor. As a leader, how could he let his subordinate see him in such an unflattering state?
"Ahem, nothing. Nangong Wentian will be here soon. The Alliance Leader wants us to capture them."
Without giving it much thought, Dark Penguin said,
"Don't worry, Master. Nangong Wentian is nothing. With your wisdom and my strength, we can take him down in no time."
"We can make Beiming Lei fight Nangong Wentian, then reap the rewards while they're busy fighting each other."
Jue Tianji thought that sounded feasible. After considering it more carefully, he decided it was very feasible.
"Well, damn, Dark Penguin! Not bad! When did you get so clever?"
"Oh, it's all thanks to your excellent guidance, Master. Your wisdom has rubbed off on me."
Those words went straight to Jue Tianji's head.
"Hahaha! Dark Penguin, you're absolutely right. You have a bright future ahead of you!"
The man and beast kept flattering each other, leaving the soldiers outside the door utterly speechless.
After several days, Nangong Wentian's group, along with Beiming Zheng, finally reached the outskirts of Beiming Mountain Manor.
"Let's take a break, everyone," Nangong Wentian said. "Xiao, go scout around outside. Be careful."
"Don't worry, Wentian," Ximen Xiao said. "Don't you trust my ability to run away?"
"Wentian is right," Beiming Zheng said. "You should still be careful."
"Got it, Uncle Beiming," Ximen Xiao replied.
With that, Ximen Xiao went out to scout the surroundings. The others cleared out a cave where they could shelter from the snow and lit a fire. Once everyone had settled in, Nangong Wentian looked toward the entrance.
"That's strange. Xiao's been gone for a while. Why isn't he back yet?"
"Yeah," Xiao Long said. "Doesn't Xiao usually come back right away? What's taking him so long today?"
Nangong Wentian thought for a moment, then said,
"Xiao Long, Heaven Crystal Beast, come with me to look for Xiao. Wen Ya, stay here with Uncle Beiming. Don't wander off."
"Okay, I understand, big brother."
"Wentian, you and Xiao Long go ahead," Beiming Zheng said. "These old bones can still protect Wen Ya."
"All right."
With that, Nangong Wentian went outside with Xiao Long. As they walked along, he said,
"Xiao Long, fly a little higher and see if you can spot Xiao."
Hearing Wentian's request, Xiao Long flew higher.
"No sign of him. Where on earth did Xiao run off to?"
Just then, a rock shot out from a concealed spot and struck Xiao Long.
"Aah!"
Xiao Long screamed and fell from the sky. Seeing this, Nangong Wentian hurried over.
"Xiao Long, are you all right?"
"Wentian, I'm fine. It just hurts a little."
"Damn it! Heaven Crystal Beast, can you find whoever's hiding out there?"
Just as Nangong Wentian was about to have Heaven Crystal Beast search for the hidden attacker, a figure stepped out from behind a snowbank. It was Beiming Lei.
"So these are the Shenbing Kids? I thought you'd be impressive. Looks like Jue Tianji overestimated you."
Nangong Wentian looked at the person who had emerged.
"Who are you? Were you the one who attacked us from hiding?"
"Did you capture Xiao?"
"Hmph, that's right. It was me." As he spoke, he dragged someone out from the shadows. It was Ximen Xiao, bound with rope and unable even to speak.
