Megumi Fushiguro stared blankly at Sukuna, not even remembering to straighten his tousled hair.
...Was... that how it was?
...They had arranged it ages ago?... It wasn't because of him...?
He murmured, "But didn't Itadori say it was only last night that..."
Sukuna cut him off at once.
"Of course I'd keep something like this from Yuji too."
"I didn't want anyone to know in the first place... and now both of you know."
He sighed.
"So, for tricking me... your punishment is to keep this secret and not tell anyone else. Got it?"
"Or I'll beat you up... and not even Gojo begging for mercy will save you!"
Megumi Fushiguro: "..."
"...Got it..."
He looked at Sukuna speechlessly. There wasn't anything threatening about him.
Still... that made sense. Although he had only heard bits and pieces from Itadori and didn't know the exact terms of the binding vow, he could tell there were a lot of conditions, and that it was dangerous.
A binding vow that complicated and dangerous couldn't possibly have been negotiated in just one or two conversations. Surely Sukuna hadn't learned the terms last night and agreed to it on the spot...
So perhaps he really had just happened to stumble into it...?
Seeing how unconcerned Sukuna looked, he felt a little uneasy.
He wanted to ask whether Sukuna truly wanted to accept a binding vow like that... but he couldn't bring himself to say it.
All he could think was... since Sukuna and Teacher Gojo had worked out the terms together, they should be something Sukuna could accept...
At that thought, his anxious heart finally settled a little.
Watching Megumi Fushiguro's expression relax, Sukuna inwardly breathed a sigh of relief too.
"Feeling better now? Can we go back and keep studying?"
"You're our Teacher Fushiguro.
