After their meal, at Little Fox's emphatic suggestion, Sukuna carried it outside for a walk.
Green shade lined both sides of the path. The fresh air filled their lungs, lifting their spirits.
Sukuna stroked Little Fox. Full of energy, it soon jumped down and pattered along on its own, gazing curiously at the scenery around them.
It had rarely visited Jujutsu High's Back Mountain before and had never expected the grounds back here to be so vast. One stretch of lush forest followed another; the landscaping was excellent.
As they walked, it spotted someone sneaking toward them up ahead-Itadori. A surprise, but not really.
The moment Itadori saw it, a sunny smile spread across his face.
He glanced at Sukuna a short distance away, then immediately lowered his voice to call softly to Little Fox.
"Little Fox!~"
Little Fox's eyes lit up. It raced over excitedly, bounded up against Itadori's chest in a few quick leaps, and squeaked a greeting.
[Yuji~! What brings you here?]
As it spoke, it wagged its tail happily and rubbed its head against Itadori's chin.
"I came to check on you. How are you feeling? Did you sleep well last night?"
Itadori chuckled and gave Little Fox a thorough petting as he held it.
Sukuna had taken the drunken Little Fox away last night, leaving him worried all night long. Fortunately, it looked lively now, and he could finally relax.
Little Fox nodded vigorously.
[Of course I did!]
It had slept beside its beautiful Young Master, so of course it had rested wonderfully!
After cuddling with Yuji for a while, Little Fox looked up and asked.
[Do you have class today too?]
Itadori: "..."
Itadori's face instantly contorted in misery.
"Yeah..."
