Meowth watched Jessie and James spouting needless nonsense and angrily scratched wildly at their faces.
"Idiots! Why are you two telling him so much? Idiots, idiots!"
As far as rarity went, there was actually nothing particularly special about Mio Takamiya's Pikachu. If anything set it apart, it was that Lin Guang had obtained this Pikachu from a Treasure Chest, and its talent and other qualities were top-tier among Pikachu.
Lin Guang asked casually, "So what do you mean by rare?"
Nothing else mattered much. What mainly worried Lin Guang was whether Meowth, as a Pokémon, would notice anything special about Mio Takamiya.
After all, even Lin Guang's own Pokémon sometimes preferred Mio Takamiya a little. Of course, all of Lin Guang's Pokémon were male, so it was possible that they simply preferred female Pokémon Trainers a little more.
Meowth folded his arms across his chest and said confidently, "Last time, it used an incredible move. If it can use a move beyond its level, there must be something big behind it. That's the deduction of the great Pokémon genius, Meowth!"
Jessie and James came to their senses and saw Meowth standing there explaining things to Lin Guang and the others just as they had earlier.
Without another word, Jessie and James gave Meowth a thorough beating.
"You're doing exactly the same thing!"
"Keep talking, will you! Keep talking..."
Unable to take any more, Meowth mustered all his strength and shouted, "I'm telling the boss on you!"
After giving Meowth a good beating, Jessie and James returned to their previous demeanor.
Jessie said, "You'd better be good and hand over Pikachu."
Hearing this, Lin Guang glanced at Mio Takamiya and said, "They want your Pikachu. What are you going to do, Mio?"
Mio Takamiya gave a soft snort and stepped forward
