The light of evolution enveloped Pikachu, and Lin Guang knew it was already too late to say anything.
Pikachu had already evolved into Raichu.
Raichu's fur was dark orange, with a white belly. Like Pikachu, Raichu had two brown stripes on its back. Its long, slender black tail ended in a flat, yellow lightning-bolt shape.
Unlike Pikachu, Raichu had no fingers, but small, round brown paws instead. Beneath its little black eyes were yellow electric sacs.
Raichu also had large brown feet. Its forked ears were brown on the outside and yellow on the inside, with a curled section at the tips.
"Rai~"
Lin Guang picked Raichu up and looked into its little eyes. "Tell me, did your master send you?"
"Rai (???)~"
Raichu tilted its head, looking at Lin Guang with its round little black eyes, trying to get away with it by acting cute.
Lin Guang was not buying it. "Stop saying 'Rai' and tell me. Why did you want to evolve using a Thunder Stone?"
Hearing Lin Guang's words, Raichu began explaining to him.
"Rai rai! Rai rai! Rai rai! (No particular reason. I just wanted to get stronger and help my master!)"
Through his telepathic communication ability, Lin Guang understood Raichu's thoughts. After sighing, he put Raichu back down.
Lin Guang did not know much about Raichu's situation. He had mostly just raised it as a pet.
So he had not expected Pikachu to change so much after returning to its own world, or even want to evolve into Raichu.
"Pikachu evolved into Raichu, but it doesn't seem that fat, and it's about as tall as a normal Raichu. Could it be malnourished? Surely not."
Thinking of the changes in Raichu, Lin Guang stopped dwelling on it. The rest would depend on what Mio Takamiya said
