As Lin Guang and Mio Takamiya landed on Ice Island and Fire Island respectively, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki also arrived at Thunder Island.
Thunder Island was the island where the legendary Pokémon Zapdos lived. Like Ice Island and Fire Island, Thunder Island had a mountain, but unlike them, it was engulfed in thunderstorms year-round because of Zapdos.
When Kaguya Ōtsutsuki set foot on Thunder Island, she could feel fine droplets of rain.
In the distance, the center of Thunder Island was where the thunderstorms raged most frequently. Without even thinking, she could tell that was where Zapdos lived.
Looking at the thunderstorms over Thunder Island, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki recalled entering the power plant with Lin Guang to search for Zapdos.
Although Zapdos had left in the end, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki had still seen what Zapdos looked like.
That was why Kaguya Ōtsutsuki felt Zapdos might be the strongest of the Legendary Birds, and why she had chosen Zapdos while on Shamouti Island.
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki did not know that Lin Guang and Mio Takamiya had both used special abilities to quickly locate Articuno and Moltres.
But the situation on Thunder Island was clearer than on Fire Island or Ice Island: the center of the thunderstorms had to be where Zapdos was.
So Kaguya Ōtsutsuki flew straight toward the center of Thunder Island's thunderstorms.
What Kaguya Ōtsutsuki had not expected, however, was that Zapdos was extremely territorial.
The moment Kaguya Ōtsutsuki set foot on Thunder Island, Zapdos had opened its eyes. With a piercing cry, it appeared amid the island's thunderstorms.
Zapdos locked onto Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's location and came straight for her.
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki had only flown halfway there when she saw the thunderstorms gradually moving toward her.
"What's going on?"
No sooner had she spoken than Zapdos appeared above Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, descending with the thunderstorms.
