Word also spread that Lin Guang, Mio Takamiya, and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki each possessed one of the Legendary Birds.
In the end, the Pokémon League decided to hold the final between Lin Guang and Mio Takamiya in secret, deep in the mountains of the Quartz Plateau, partly to ensure the safety of the three of them.
Although the three of them did not need such measures, Lin Guang did not reject the Pokémon League's arrangements, so that they could continue staying in this world.
And so, the final between Lin Guang and Mio Takamiya began without a sound.
Unbeknownst to them, however, Team Rocket had long since infiltrated the Pokémon League, learned where Lin Guang and Mio Takamiya would battle, and made secret arrangements to seize the Legendary Pokémon.
On the mountaintop, Lin Guang and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki had already sensed the Team Rocket and Pokémon League members nearby.
The Pokémon League members were out in the open, while Team Rocket's people were hidden.
Lin Guang looked at the two helicopters flying overhead. The Dragon-type Elite Four member Lance and the Ice-type Elite Four member Lorelei, whom he had met a while ago, were aboard them respectively.
Seeing two Elite Four members watching the match, Lin Guang said helplessly, "I never thought the Pokémon League would send two Elite Four members. Looks like we can't keep a low profile even if we want to."
Mio Takamiya looked at Lin Guang and said, "When I first met you, your presence was sharp and completely unconcealed. Even when you were waiting for me with Shinji and the others, people could still feel it."
