Could Hisoka win?
A Luo blinked.
Probably not... There were four Spiders here. However strong Hisoka was, surely he wasn't that monstrously powerful!
Besides, all that guy had ever wanted was a one-on-one fight.
He had never seemed to like fighting multiple opponents at once.
As A Luo's thoughts wandered, the phone in her pocket suddenly rang.
A Luo had saved Hisoka's number in her phone as soon as he gave her his business card.
Come to think of it, her contact list was pitifully short.
Apart from her mother, whose whereabouts were unknown, and Killua, who had returned to Kukuroo Mountain, the only person in it was Hisoka, with whom she had just exchanged contact details.
Now that her phone was ringing, it was most likely him.
A Luo looked at Chrollo.
Chrollo gave Machi a look, and Machi withdrew her Nen threads.
Only after receiving the Spiders' permission did Lola reach into her pocket, take out her phone, and answer.
The next second, Hisoka's sinister voice came from the other end:
"Mmm~♣ Why did my little cutie leave and never come back? I'm getting a little tired of waiting! ♥"
Cold sweat broke out on A Luo's forehead.
Glancing at the two Spiders watching her, the little girl could only stammer into the phone:
"Um... um... uh... um..."
At that moment, the weak, pitiful, helpless little girl distinctly felt a terrifying wave of bloodlust coming from the other end of the line!
Then the call ended.
Along with the call, A Luo's little plans to escape were cut short.
Even if she got absurdly lucky and managed to escape the Spiders' clutches, what would she do about Hisoka, who was watching them from outside?
A Luo could swear to heaven that, right now, being beside the boss was far safer than being near that enraged, impatient, perverted fruit farmer.
Once Lola realized this, she decisively abandoned all her little schemes, turned around, and sat down beside Chrollo, trying to make herself as inconspicuous as possible.
She could only hope that once they started fighting, they wouldn't remember her, their little piece of background scenery!
Yet half an hour passed, and that perverted fruit farmer, who had clearly lost control of his emotions, still hadn't made a move?
Lola was a little surprised!
What was going on now?
What exactly was Mr. Fruit Farmer out there plotting?
Being this quiet wasn't his style!
"Mmm~ Since my little cutie wouldn't come to me, ♣ I had no choice but to come find her myself. ♥"
Sure enough, just as A Luo was puzzling over it, a familiar voice that gave her goosebumps rang out at the lobby entrance.
Hisoka!
A Luo shuddered and turned toward the voice.
There stood Hisoka, leaning against the entrance with his arms crossed, looking utterly relaxed despite the large bloodstains on his clown outfit.
Why was there blood?
A Luo frowned in confusion. When she had parted ways with him half an hour ago, he had been perfectly clean!
Had Hisoka killed someone in those thirty minutes?
Lola had guessed correctly.
Hisoka had indeed killed someone in that short span of time.
And it was someone they knew!
The man with a star and a teardrop painted on his face flicked his arm, tossing the severed head he had been holding behind his back in front of everyone in the lobby.
The horrifying sight immediately threw the lobby into chaos.
The ordinary people scattered and fled, while the hotel staff immediately began calling the police.
The four Spiders stared at the head thrown into the lobby, silent for a moment.
At some point, A Luo had slipped over to the window, where she timidly tugged at the curtain in an attempt to hide herself.
Don't ask why she hadn't run away with the ordinary people.
A Luo looked at Machi's Nen thread attached to her body, then at the lump of Nen Hisoka had stuck to her left shoulder at some unknown point.
The girl no longer had the slightest thought of escaping!
Forget escaping-even hiding behind the curtain seemed incredibly foolish now that both sides had marked her.
Once the crowd had cleared out, only Hisoka and the four Spiders remained in the lobby.
"Who exactly are you?"
Chrollo shifted his gaze from the head on the floor to Hisoka and questioned him.
Hisoka drew a playing card and gave it a light kiss.
"You're the boss, right? I really don't mean any harm! ♥ I just want to spar with you. When could you spare me a little time? Heavens Arena is right next door. We could fight there!"
Hisoka swayed his hips, looking excited and positively giddy. Everything about him was bizarre.
"Why did you kill Omokage?"
Chrollo realized with some resignation that there was now a second person in this world he couldn't read.
As for who the first was?
That little squirt Lola was currently hiding behind the curtain, ludicrously believing that would keep them from noticing her.
"And what is your relationship with A Luo? When did you meet her? Did she have anything to do with Omokage's death?"
Hisoka looked at Chrollo.
"If I answer all your questions, will you agree to a duel with me? ♥"
Chrollo smiled.
"Perhaps!"
Glancing at the ridiculous, comical little girl by the window, Hisoka spread his hands and answered Chrollo with an earnest expression:
"So the fellow on the floor was called Omokage! Was he one of your companions? I was getting tired of waiting for my little cutie on the first floor when he suddenly showed up and ambushed me. Then I accidentally killed him. ♥"
"Mmm~ As for little A Luo, heaven is my witness: today was the first time I ever met her... And our relationship? Before we came here, we agreed that she'd be my contact from now on and help me find strong opponents to fight. ♥"
Having finished, Hisoka smiled at Chrollo.
"Can we have our duel now, boss?"
The atmosphere in the lobby instantly grew tense. Feitan and Machi exchanged a glance, then both closed in on Hisoka.
"Boss, why waste any more words on this guy? He killed Number 4. Under our rules, he either joins us or we kill him. Just give the order! I really can't stand the sight of him."
Feitan sneered and was the first to attack Hisoka.
Seeing Feitan make his move, Machi and Pakunoda both took up offensive stances and flanked Hisoka from either side, the three of them working in perfect coordination.
Surrounded, Hisoka's expression grew grave. He was like a honed blade, every strike cunning and vicious.
For a time, Hisoka actually managed to trade blows with the three Spiders without giving an inch.
A Luo watched from behind the curtain in utter amazement!
At last, Chrollo, who had remained standing in place all this time, made his move.
Skill Hunter appeared in his hand. He opened it, stopped on a particular page, and began murmuring.
