After her family was killed and Malena was abducted, A Luo was captured by the Phantom Troupe and became entangled with its members while trying to survive. The Spiders took her on a journey to find a new target, and Chrollo confronted Robin at an inn.

• A Luo met Killua at Heavens Arena, trained with him, and watched him leave for his family before an attacker killed Fan'en Reno and abducted Malena in pursuit of the Life Stone.
• The Phantom Troupe captured A Luo, and Chrollo had Pakunoda probe her memories before keeping her at the base and questioning her claims about being reborn.
• A Luo cooked for the Spiders and eventually told them she had died as Kasuga, a Zoldyck Family butler, before being reborn as Lola.
• The Zoldyck Family attacked the Phantom Troupe, Silva wounded A Luo, and Chrollo later forced her to awaken her Nen before the group left Meteor City.
• A Luo traveled with Chrollo, Feitan, Machi, and Pakunoda aboard a hijacked airship, then posed as Chrollo and Pakunoda's daughter at an inn.
• A Luo feared the Spiders would cause another tragedy in the town and bargained with them for peaceful sleep by cooking their meals.
• Feitan found Chrollo's target at the inn, and Chrollo brought A Luo to Robin's room under the pretext of delivering bottled water before Robin drew a dagger.

A Luo was dragged deeper into the Phantom Troupe’s world, as Chrollo tested her loyalty and recruited Hisoka and Shizuku. After a treasure heist in East Gorteau, Chrollo revealed that the Troupe was seeking the Life Stone and offered A Luo her mother’s location in exchange for her help.

• Chrollo stole Robin’s Indoor Fish ability and took A Luo with the Spiders to the Republic of Padokea, where he tested what she knew about stolen Nen and threatened her over her secrets.
• At Heavens Arena, Feitan was poisoned in a dark alley, and A Luo’s attempts to care for him only enraged him until Chrollo explained that the food and drink had forced Feitan to use the bathroom repeatedly.
• A Luo encountered Hisoka, who questioned her about Chrollo, took her to his castle, and then brought her back to the Spiders to demand a fight.
• Hisoka joined the Phantom Troupe as Number Four after killing Omokage, and the Spiders saved A Luo when she was caught in their fight.
• The Spiders recruited Shizuku, then robbed the Treasure Festival in East Gorteau, where Feitan fought Blondie and Hisoka intervened before Chrollo stopped the fighting.
• Back in Meteor City, Feitan tortured Blondie for information, and Chrollo prepared to take his Nen ability while the Spiders discussed the Life Stone.
• Chrollo told A Luo that Malena was imprisoned after her uncle arranged the attack on her family, and A Luo agreed to help the Troupe find the Life Stone in exchange for Malena’s location.

A Luo escaped Chrollo’s control, reached Malena in Yorknew, and became entangled in the Corleone and Wilson families’ tournament. She secured William’s promise to release Evelis, but entered her next match while still recovering and under a mysterious watcher’s gaze.

• A Luo tricked the Life Stone and weakened the Spiders with pills, then fled with Shizuku while Chrollo escaped the barrier and claimed the stone.
• A Luo tracked down Vito Corleone in Yorknew and entered the underground fighting circuit, where William recruited her for the Mafia tournament.
• A Luo secretly enlisted Dina’s help, while the Phantom Troupe suspected her dark-web message was a trap and Chrollo decided to remain in Yorknew.
• Killua reunited with A Luo and helped distract the guards as Illumi assassinated Vito, after which A Luo drugged Illumi and he fled.
• Dina revealed that Malena had been rescued, and A Luo reunited with her mother and learned that she was pregnant.
• A Luo discovered Dina had deceived her to secure help for Evelis, ended their alliance, then negotiated with William to free Evelis if she won the tournament.
• A Luo defeated Daniel with Nen bullets and strength pills, then forced William to honor their agreement by threatening him with a dagger and a pill.
• After drawing a bye, A Luo rested while Dina worried about her condition and a watcher with a star and teardrop on his face observed her before her next match.

A Luo escaped Illumi’s manipulation, helped Killua flee Kukuroo Mountain, and entered the Hunter Exam with Ponzu. After surviving the first phase together, A Luo and Ponzu reached Menchi’s sushi test, where Menchi reacted darkly to A Luo’s dish.

• A Luo won the arena championship, escaped Hisoka and the Phantom Troupe, and negotiated a truce by trading Chrollo and the captured Spiders for William and Dina.
• Illumi implanted a Nen Needle in A Luo, altered her memories, and made her forget Killua, but A Luo later recovered her memories and removed the needle.
• A Luo contacted Killua and helped him escape Kukuroo Mountain, while she used her Nen-made bells to defend herself when Illumi attacked her in Yorknew City.
• A Luo arranged for Airo to take Malena to Whale Island and alter her memories, then recruited Ponzu as an ally for the Hunter Exam.
