A Luo helps Ponzu pass the Hunter Exam, then joins Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio in going to the Zoldyck estate to reach Killua. After negotiating with Silva and Zeno, she gets to see Killua and prepares to take him down the mountain to reunite with his friends.

• Menchi rejected every dish in the cooking test, but Netero arranged a new test in which A Luo and Ponzu passed by collecting Grape Spider eggs.
• A Luo, Ponzu, and Gittarackur seized the airship and reached the bottom of Trick Tower, where A Luo forced Lippo to recognize their success.
• On Seibilu Island, A Luo gave Ponzu her Number Plate so Ponzu could pass, then persuaded Hisoka and Illumi to let Ponzu advance if they faced her.
• After learning Killua had killed Bodoro and gone home, A Luo warned Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio about the Zoldycks and traveled with them to Kukuroo Mountain.
• A Luo opened all seven gates of the Testing Gate, fought Kikyo and Kalluto, and was taken to the Torture Room, where sleeping gas knocked her out before she reached Killua.
• Silva questioned A Luo about Alluka and rejected her offer to cure Kikyo in exchange for freedom, but Zeno later negotiated a nominal butler role for her with confidentiality as her only duty.
• A Luo reached Killua in the Torture Room, where he broke his chains and asked Silva for permission to leave and train with Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika.
• A Luo decided to take Killua down the mountain as soon as possible, while Gotoh arranged her butler onboarding and Killua asked her for more sleeping medicine.

A Luo reunited with Malena and joined Gon and Killua on their search for Greed Island, while the Phantom Troupe’s return to Yorknew City brought her and Kurapika together against them. The arc left Kurapika facing the choice of whether to save his colleagues from the coming auction attack.

• A Luo defeated Xien at Heavens Arena, cremated her father’s remains, and later survived a fight with Feitan with Hisoka’s help.
• A Luo agreed to cooperate with Hisoka against the Phantom Troupe, then returned to Whale Island with Gon and Killua and reunited with Malena.
• Gon learned from Ging’s videotape that he needed to find Greed Island, and Killua called Milluki for information after they opened Ging’s box.
• A Luo, Gon, and Killua traveled to Yorknew City, where Gon pawned his Hunter License after they lost most of their money at the Flea Market.
• A Luo learned that the Phantom Troupe had gathered in Yorknew City and contacted Kurapika, who agreed to work with her against them.
• A Luo and Kurapika planned to attack the Troupe’s hideout while its members were at the auction, then ambush them as they returned.
• Melody informed Kurapika that Feitan and the others had been sent to the underground auction, and A Luo warned that everyone there would die.

A Luo and Kurapika fought the Phantom Troupe over Uvogin and the Scarlet Eyes, then exchanged Chrollo for Gon and Killua. After Chrollo temporarily disabled A Luo’s Nen, she pursued him in hopes of restoring it and followed him toward Greed Island and the NGL Autonomous Region.

• A Luo and Kurapika rescued Feitan, Franklin, and Shizuku from the auction, then captured Uvogin and fought Chrollo’s Troupe before escaping with help from the Zoldycks.
• Kurapika killed Uvogin after questioning him about the Kurta Clan massacre, while Chrollo and the Spiders attacked Yorknew and Kurapika’s friends Gon and Killua were captured.
• A Luo confronted the Spiders to help Gon and Killua escape, but Nobunaga knocked her unconscious and the Troupe later captured her again while tracking her and Kurapika.
• Gon and Killua ambushed the Spiders at the hospital, allowing Kurapika to escape with A Luo and Chrollo, and Pakunoda later exchanged the boys for Chrollo.
• Hisoka revealed his challenge to Chrollo, who disclosed that Kurapika had sealed his Nen, while A Luo discovered that her own Nen was unusable and left to seek a cure.
• A Luo learned that Chrollo had temporarily disabled her Nen and agreed to travel with him while demanding that he restore it, but she could not qualify for Greed Island without demonstrating her ability.
• A Luo, Chrollo, and Hisoka searched for an Exorcist, but Razor expelled A Luo and Chrollo when they tried entering Greed Island from outside.
• Chrollo led A Luo into the NGL Autonomous Region, where she considered eliminating the Ant Queen, and the locals discovered their whereabouts.

A Luo was drawn into the Chimera Ant crisis, rescued Kite and helped Gon recover, then used Alluka’s power to return to Whale Island and leave her dangerous life behind. Later chapters revisited her past and traced how Illumi, Chrollo, Feitan, and Hisoka became attached to her, ending with Hisoka and Illumi heading toward the Dark Continent.

• A Luo hired Illumi to investigate the Chimera Ants, but after returning to Yorknew City with Chrollo, she was crushed during an attack and woke months later on an island under Luca Reno’s control.
• A Luo escaped Luca, rescued Chrollo, and brought in an Exorcist to remove Kurapika’s sword from Chrollo’s heart, then forced Chrollo to restore her Nen Ability before leaving for NGL.
• A Luo entered NGL, rescued Ponzu, and reached Kite as Neferpitou attacked, but Zaiyilo captured A Luo and Kite and took them to Meteor City.
• A Luo escaped Zaiyilo with Kite, found Killua in East Gorteau, and warned him about Gon’s vow before discovering Gon transformed and dying from the power he had used to kill Neferpitou.
• A Luo helped Killua bring Alluka to Gon, then left for Whale Island rather than risk asking Nanika to eliminate the dangerous people in her life.
• A Luo’s past returned in dreams and recollections as Gotoh, Illumi, Chrollo, Feitan, and Hisoka’s connections to her came to light, including her time with the young Illumi and her escape with Feitan.
• Hisoka repeatedly crossed paths with A Luo, helped her pursue the Phantom Troupe, and later sought an Exorcist for Chrollo, who eventually regained his Nen and defeated Hisoka.
• Hisoka revived after Chrollo’s victory and vowed to hunt the Phantom Troupe members one by one, then boarded the ship to the Dark Continent and recruited Illumi to hunt Hisoka.
