He looked down at his disciples rushing about within the Three Realms.
Manjushri and Samantabhadra, the two Bodhisattvas, never imagined that their actions would cause such a significant problem.
It nearly threw the Buddhist realm into chaos.
As for the two of them, they were currently buried underground.
And through a twist of fate, they had used an earth-escape technique, fleeing directly from beneath the mountain.
As soon as the two of them emerged, others sensed their presence.
Lingji Bodhisattva, the Eighteen Arhats, and the Five Directions Guardians all rushed over from different directions.
Night.
In a cemetery, a man sat before a grave, sadly drinking alone.
Suddenly, the grave cracked open, and two men, covered in dirt and dust, emerged from the ground, pushing a somewhat rotten corpse.
"Ah... a ghost... help!"
The man broke out in a cold sweat, shouted, and turned to run.
As for these two dusty contestants, they were undoubtedly Little Wen and Old Pu.
At this moment, Lingji Bodhisattva also arrived.
Looking at the two, although they were covered in dirt and dust, they were unharmed. If anything had happened to them, Tathagata Buddha himself would have skinned him.
With a wave of his hand, he immobilized the two.
The two of them looked quite comical because they were still carrying the somewhat rotten corpse.
He couldn't worry about that now; bringing them back was the priority.
This time, Lingji Bodhisattva was extremely careful and cautious.
He was afraid that the two would get lost again.
Upon returning to Spirit Mountain, Lingji Bodhisattva immediately knelt on the ground, "Please forgive me, my Buddha."
Tathagata Buddha, with a grim expression, said, "Lingji Bodhisattva, you have quite the nerve."
"Please forgive my offense, my Buddha."
Lingji Bodhisattva knelt with great humility.
If you make a mistake, admit it; if you're wrong, stand firm.
"Hmph, you've caused such a major incident, and a simple apology is enough?"
Tathagata Buddha snorted, then continued, "Hand it over?"
"Ah?" This left Lingji Bodhisattva a bit bewildered, unsure what he was supposed to hand over. But seeing Tathagata Buddha's expression, he instantly understood.
With some reluctance, he took out a pack of cigarettes and respectfully offered them.
Tathagata Buddha snorted proudly, thinking, You know how to play the game, kid.
As for Manjushri and Samantabhadra, the two Bodhisattvas, they would remain immobilized for now; otherwise, there would be no way to deal with them.
They had already embarrassed themselves enough.
Several days later.
The Nine-Colored Bewitching Flower's effect wore off.
Tathagata Buddha personally took action, giving the two Bodhisattvas a good thrashing, and also slapped Lingji Bodhisattva.
The two Bodhisattvas naturally knew what had happened, and at this moment, they remembered everything.
This made their cheeks burn.
It was too embarrassing.
They had lost face across all Three Realms.
However, they were bewildered as to how they had been affected. The only thing they knew was that Guanyin Bodhisattva had shouted "Not good!" and fled, leaving the two of them to face their fate, abandoning them.
This made the two Bodhisattvas even more displeased with Guanyin Bodhisattva.
After beating them, Tathagata Buddha couldn't help but shake his hand, which had gone a bit numb.
"Little Wen, go to Mount Putuo of the South Sea and check on Venerable Guanyin."
Guanyin Bodhisattva had fled very quickly at the time, but she had still been affected by the Nine-Colored Bewitching Flower.
Furthermore, she hadn't returned to Spirit Mountain in all these days, so Tathagata Buddha decided to send Manjushri Bodhisattva to check on her.
"If she is alright, the group on the Journey to the West will still need her to keep a close watch and accompany them. As for Old Pu, go to the Underworld and bring back Zhu Bajie's soul to revive him."
Tathagata Buddha held a cigarette and sat on his lotus throne.
Smoke curled upwards, irritating his eyes and causing him to squint slightly.
At this moment, he appeared profoundly unfathomable.
"Your decree is my command."
The two who received the Buddha's decree hurried away.
Mount Putuo of the South Sea.
Guanyin Bodhisattva had indeed moved very quickly, but she was still affected by some of the fallout, occasionally falling into illusions from which she struggled to escape.
However, this was her own territory, and no matter what she did, there shouldn't be so many people paying attention.
As the Nine-Colored Bewitching Flower's pistil disappeared, Guanyin Bodhisattva felt like she was finished.
Because her state of mind had encountered significant problems, if it wasn't resolved, she feared she would be stuck in place her entire life, with no possibility of breaking through to Grand Unity Golden Immortal.
The one who tied the bell must untie it.
The only one who could solve this problem was naturally Tang Sanzang.
A flash of light streaked across the sky, and Manjushri Bodhisattva appeared. He didn't have a pleasant expression towards Guanyin Bodhisattva.
"The Buddha said you are fine and still need to keep an eye on the Journey to the West group."
She naturally sensed the resentment in his words, but at that time, what could Guanyin Bodhisattva do? It was good enough that she could escape on her own.
If she had called out to those two, Guanyin Bodhisattva was absolutely certain that she would have gone mad with them.
"Mm, I understand."
Guanyin Bodhisattva responded. She was now a little fearful of the pilgrimage group.
She had originally thought it was her honor to receive such a good assignment.
But it seemed that wasn't the case, and she felt like resigning.
The Journey to the West had already begun, and by the time they reached this point, it was impossible for her to quit.
The Buddha would not agree either.
She also had to find a way to solve the problems with her state of mind.
Otherwise, she was truly finished.
After delivering the message, Manjushri Bodhisattva snorted and left directly, not wanting to linger there any longer.
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva revived Zhu Bajie and, without saying much, directly sent him back down to Tang Yu's side.
Actually, Tathagata Buddha also really wanted to beat up Zhu Bajie, but since he hadn't become a Buddha yet and wasn't his subordinate, he couldn't just lay hands on him.
It's just that Tathagata Buddha wrote it all down in his little notebook. You wait until you get to Spirit Mountain and become a Buddha or something, then see if I don't beat you up?
Tang Yu and his group were still in the same place, not having set off, waiting for Zhu Bajie's return.
Seeing Er Daizi, whom they hadn't seen in a while, return, they all rushed to ask.
"Er Daizi, are you okay?"
Zhu Bajie grinned proudly, "This old pig flew to the Western Heaven, ransacked the Spirit Mountain treasury, and even had a big fight with Tathagata Buddha."
He began to brag. If they didn't know the truth, they could easily have been fooled by him.
However, Tang Yu already knew the whole story from the System.
It was true that he had a fight with Tathagata Buddha, and he was killed with just one slap.
He still had the nerve to brag so much.
As for Sun Wukong and Sha Wujing, they completely dismissed his words as nonsense.
He was talking rubbish. Sun Wukong was the strongest fighter here, yet he was easily suppressed under Five Finger Mountain by Tathagata Buddha.
And you, Zhu Bajie, fought with the Buddha?
Get real, I'm just going to chuckle.
Within White Bone Ridge.
White Bone Cave.
This was a naturally formed cave dwelling, originally desolate and uninhabited, but now there were some monsters.
White Bone Demon, also known as Bai Jingjing.
She didn't know why she was here. As far as her memory went, she had always been here.
In her heart, she felt like she had lost something, but she didn't know what it was.
