A glint flashed in Zheng Fan's eyes when he saw that the young man had remained unaffected by him. The bespectacled young man walked up to Leomon and said loudly, "Sir, there are some private matters I'd like to discuss with you alone. Would you give me that opportunity?"
Private matters? In an instant, everyone's eyes turned to Leomon, their curiosity burning fiercely.
"Everyone knows about me. There's no need to find somewhere private." Although somewhat reluctant, Leomon went along with him, because that was what Juri wanted.
"Sir, are you sure your friends will still be your friends once they know your real secret?" The young man's words were aggressive enough to make an ordinary person suspect they had a secret even if they didn't.
"We'll always be good friends, mister." Juri hugged Leomon's arm and stuck her tongue out at the young man.
Seeing that Leomon remained firm, the young man took a deep breath and said loudly, "Sir, you aren't human, are you?"
"What?" This truly surprised everyone. Yet, from what the young man could tell, they were surprised at him. Had they known about this all along?
"Personally, I'm more curious about who you are. A ninja from Konohagakure, or a monk with spiritual powers from Mount Koya?" Zheng Fan rubbed his chin, looking curious. In truth, he had only just gotten started in this world and knew nothing about its so-called hidden factions. Konohagakure and Koya Temple were actually factions in Takato's world, but that didn't stop Zheng Fan from using them to bluff.
"Uh..." The young man froze, then remembered that he had never introduced himself. He took two steps back and bowed at a ninety-degree angle before saying, "My name is Oikawa Yukio. I'm a graduate student at Waseda University, primarily researching biology."
