"I never imagined Champion Digimon could be this powerful. Could these humans be Chosen Children too?" On the rooftop, DemiDevimon watched the deadlocked battle below and sighed in amazement.
"That's only because you've never seen much of the world," Wizardmon said coldly from behind Gatomon.
"Ah!" DemiDevimon looked as though he had stabbed himself hard with his own giant syringe. Nearly frantic, he snapped, "Gatomon, keep your subordinate in line!"
Gatomon elegantly raised her head and said casually, "Wizardmon, don't show off your strength to trash with a power level of five. Do you know that, in their eyes, your power level is only six?"
Wizardmon stepped back twice and bowed slightly, no longer looking at DemiDevimon, who was practically fuming himself to death.
Takato swept his hand past his card pouch and drew the card he wanted. "Henry, Ruki, Juri, get ready to break out. Card Slash, Super Energy Recharge!"
Beautiful arcs of electricity surged from Takato's hand and connected to Growlmon. Growlmon immediately threw back his head, and with an unrestrained roar, his Pyro Blaster reduced the buildings ahead to burning rubble.
"Card Slash, Mirror Image Doppelganger!" Ruki swung her Digivice, and Kyubimon instantly split into two, charging toward Takato and Guilmon respectively.
"Card Slash, Machinedramon, Infinite Cannon!" The two machine-gun barrels on Gargomon's arms transformed into cannons, completely blocking Phantomon's and MetalSeadramon's routes. Accomplishing this as a Champion Digimon was already quite remarkable.
"Card Slash, IceLeomon!" As Juri moved, a layer of frost coated Leomon. This icy armor did not hinder his movements, but every Digimon who approached him shuddered. Even Growlmon and the others were reluctant to get close.
"Wizardmon, where exactly did these people come from?" Every time the Tamers swiped their cards, Gatomon felt her heart tremble. None of the other Digimon felt it.
