Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves and fell on Taiki's face, illuminating his youthful features.
"You're awake? Take a look around. This should be the world you used to live in, though I don't know exactly where we are." Zheng Fan sat on the grass and spoke lazily.
"Uh, Brother Fan, I'll call you that too. I'm not dreaming, am I?" The repeated shifts through time and space had left Taiki a little dazed.
"Taiki, you don't look very energetic. You won't be able to beat any enemies in that state." Shoutmon's voice drifted over, sounding strangely ethereal.
Taiki searched carefully and finally found Shoutmon. Shoutmon's body had shrunk to the size of a palm and become a translucent phantom, lying on a card. Taiki had seen that card before; it was something Tamers used to help Digimon fight. Shoutmon himself seemed to be in good spirits.
"Shoutmon, so I'm not dreaming, then. Where are Akari and Zenjiro?" Taiki asked.
"They went to find food. I don't know why they still haven't come back." Taiki lowered his voice to ask Shoutmon, but Zheng Fan still heard him.
Just then, Taiki heard Zenjiro's voice. "Master, Taiki, we're back!" Zenjiro ran ahead, with Akari behind him. Both carried armfuls of food.
"Taiki, do you know where we are right now?" Zenjiro asked with an exaggerated expression. Surprisingly, Akari didn't interrupt him this time, but waited eagerly for Taiki's answer.
"We should be in the Southern Hemisphere," Taiki answered after a long moment of thought.
"Wrong! Let me tell you, we're actually in Third Park," Zenjiro said smugly.
"That's impossible. We spent more than half a year in the Digimon World. If we're not in the Southern Hemisphere, are you telling me that blazing Sun up there is fake?" Taiki said
