A dazzling streak of light swept beneath Huanglongmon, scooping up Taiki and his two companions and carrying them into the sky. Zheng Fan needed no assistance to fly.
"Human, I never knew humans could be this powerful," Huanglongmon said.
"Across the Worlds of the Heavens, the human race ranks among the top ten in strength. Digimon, if they count as a race, would probably make the top ten thousand," Zheng Fan said with a smile.
"Perhaps. But here, my power is a little greater than yours." Huanglongmon smiled faintly, showing that those rankings meant nothing to him.
"True, I don't dare attack you. But with me here, you can't do anything either," Zheng Fan said, narrowing his eyes.
Zheng Fan was now certain that the Digimon World had been deliberately created by some powerful being. Small worlds naturally grew stronger through cultivation. When creating worlds in the void of the cosmos, nine out of ten powerful beings would imitate Pangu's creation of heaven and earth. Huanglongmon's body came from the turbid energy present when this cosmos first formed. If the embryonic world were an egg, Huanglongmon would be the most concentrated essence of its yolk. Beyond the tremendous defenses granted by the accumulation of primordial turbid energy, the more frightening problem was that injuring Huanglongmon might shake the world's foundations. Huanglongmon was not invincible, but only a handful of powers could harm him without damaging those foundations.
While Zheng Fan and Huanglongmon remained on guard against each other, Kiriha, now safe, shook his Digivice and had Greymon and ArmorBirdramon fuse again.
"Trident Arm!" MetalGreymon leaped high and slammed his blazing claws against Huanglongmon's head, but failed to leave so much as a mark.
"How is this possible?" A trace of despair appeared in Kiriha's eyes. Huanglongmon's confident, mocking gaze burned
