After being knocked flying yet again, Yatagaramon lay helplessly on the ground. The pain from those injuries was nothing serious, but losing to a Champion-level Digimon had shattered Yatagaramon's confidence.
"Yatagaramon, believe in Yuto, and believe in yourself." Mercurymon's voice rang in Yatagaramon's ears.
"That's right. This isn't just Yuto's dream. It's mine too. So I can do this." Yatagaramon rallied and roared, "I believe I can beat you!"
With Yatagaramon's conviction, Kudamon AT's strength diminished, its speed dropped, and its weapons designed specifically to target Digimon stopped working. Yet Yatagaramon still could not defeat the enemy.
"Yuto, give me more power! Let me reach a stronger evolution!" Yatagaramon shouted to Yuto.
The flames on Yuto's body burned fiercer, finally setting the whole world ablaze. The sea boiled, the clouds in the sky turned purple, and purple lava erupted from the earth. Even Kudamon AT was burning. The entire world was about to burn to nothing.
As this world neared destruction, Yatagaramon merged completely into Yuto's dream, allowing the purple flames to spread over that body. Yatagaramon's energy drained away, causing a regression all the way from Ultimate to Rookie. At last, the purple flames surged and merged into Hawkmon's body.
