A good while after Zheng Fan jumped into the sea, Tai finally said, "Matt, everyone, do you really want to learn the Six Paths Breaker? Do you want to turn your descendants into monsters?"
Once Tai had calmed down, Sora Takenouchi said, "Tai, could an ordinary person climb to the top of this mast that easily? Accept reality. We're already monsters."
Tai looked at the others again and found that they all felt the same way. He silently crouched at the bow, his thoughts a mystery.
Just then, the Lion lurched violently. Everyone staggered, and Tai was thrown straight off the ship.
"Tai!" Seeing this, Agumon charged toward the bow without a thought for personal safety, then leaped into the sea after Tai.
"Poison Ivy!" Mimi Tachikawa and Sora Takenouchi steadied Palmon together. Palmon hurriedly used the attack to bind Agumon and pull Agumon back aboard.
"What just happened?" Joe Kido asked, his heart still pounding.
"Maybe we hit a big wave," Izzy Izumi said as he got up from the deck, shaking the water off his laptop. Water damage? That wouldn't affect the computer's performance at all.
"Palmon, let me go! I have to save Tai!" Agumon struggled desperately.
"What's that?" Matt said, clutching his chest. Everyone followed his gaze and saw a dark blue mass rising from the sea. It was more than half again as large as the Lion.
"That's terrifying! What on earth is it?"
"Roooaaar!" The terrifying creature sent everyone staggering with the force of its roar alone.
"It's Whamon!" Izzy Izumi shouted. "A Digimon! A Champion-level Digimon!"
"Just a Champion-level Digimon?" Ninety percent of Mimi Tachikawa's fear instantly vanished. What kind of mindset had made her this bold?
The others also breathed sighs of relief upon hearing that Whamon was only a Champion-level Digimon.
