"Fatal Assassination!" The voice rising from beneath the sea rang with tragic resolve. A golden shadow shot out of the water, attacking Zheng Fan directly as he flew a hundred meters above it.
Tuna Beast, Champion, a Data-type Digimon. It was a Digimon capable of carving out a place for itself in the boundless sea. Its body was its weapon, and once it locked onto a target, it would never stop attacking. Its special move was Fatal Assassination, which cost it its life.
Although Zheng Fan had initially been over a hundred meters away from Tuna Beast, an attack paid for with its life was hardly so easy to evade. From the moment Tuna Beast became a streak of light to the moment it reached him, even Zheng Fan lacked the time to employ any technique to deflect its force. In the end, he barely managed to block Tuna Beast's lethal charge with the flat of his sword. Tuna Beast disintegrated on impact, and a trace of blood seeped from the corner of Zheng Fan's mouth.
"So this is what killing for treasure feels like? Why are some people so obsessed with it?" Zheng Fan murmured, glancing at the enormous pearl against his chest. He had stolen it from a Dragomon underwater. Tai's goggles had happened to land beside Dragomon, so when Zheng Fan retrieved them, he had taken the pearl as well.
Dragomon, Ultimate, a Virus-type Digimon. It had evolved from an Agumon that accidentally fell into the sea. It concealed its dinosaur form entirely within a massive clam shell. It grew by using the Dragon Pearl it nurtured to lure Digimon to their deaths, but all its power also depended on that pearl.
