"No... you can't..."

"What?" Hange froze.

"The older someone is, the more easily Marcel's consciousness can take control. It has to be someone young..."

"I'll do it! I'm the young-" Yasuo rushed to the front without hesitation and walked toward Hange, his face solemn.

Levi strode forward, grabbed Yasuo by the collar, and tossed him behind the others.

Thud! Yasuo landed on his backside.

Levi now realized that both his strength and his speed had dropped considerably.

As soon as Yasuo stood up, Connie, Jean, and Sasha blocked him, keeping him behind them. They gave him threatening looks, and for a moment, he didn't dare move.

Philia blinked, watching the protected Yasuo with some curiosity. These soldiers didn't seem like the irredeemable monsters the rumors made them out to be. On the contrary, they were remarkably united and caring.

"Chen Si, I..." Mikasa looked at Chen Si.

"Those with the Ackerman bloodline can't become Titans." Chen Si shook his head.

"Eren, who was it?" Chen Si's gaze remained steady as he quietly questioned the silent Eren beside him.

At his words, Eren stole two furtive glances at Sasha before looking away.

Chen Si's eyes dimmed at the sight.

Mikasa opened her mouth when she heard this, but said nothing. She lowered her eyes in silence.

"Let me do it!" Mina stepped forward, her eyes resolute.

"Mina! No!" In a rare show of forcefulness, Armin stopped her.

"I've never had any talent for combat, and I've never been much help to anyone. If I become a Titan, I'll be able to help everyone more!" Armin stepped forward resolutely.

But Jean had already taken the Titan serum from Hange. He looked at Armin. "Armin, you're the brains of Paradis Island. Humanity still needs your wisdom. How can you die so soon?"
