The spice had left Shingetsu streaming tears, as though someone had flipped a switch that turned on her tear ducts. Tears kept pouring from her eyes, soaking her cheeks, which had turned bright red.
Everyone around her melted at the sight, suddenly losing interest in the food in their hands-

Hashirama, who was sweating buckets as he ate, hurriedly put down his bowl and chopsticks. Fumbling for a handkerchief, he carefully wiped away the tears that kept spilling from the bawling Shingetsu's eyes.
Chinatsu hurried to her feet and ran to fetch water. After Shingetsu gulped down several large cups of cold water, her tears finally slowed a little, but she still held her mouth wide open to cool her thoroughly numbed tongue. Her lips had swollen from the spice, too, and her pitiful appearance was both heartbreaking and funny.

Unlike Shingetsu, however, Madara neither shouted nor burst into tears. He endured the torment in silence, holding on through sheer force of will!
