Izuna and Tobirama arrived a moment later and stared, on the verge of breaking down, at Madara and Hashirama, each sporting one Rinnegan. They were too stunned to utter a single word.
Both were exceptionally clever. The instant they saw the Rinnegan, their minds pieced together roughly what had happened.
That only terrified them more!
Izuna in particular had his eyes stretched wide, his expression one of utter shock.
"Madara, you-you just gave him your eye?!"
He stared, almost speechless, at Madara, who now had one of Hashirama's eyes nestled in his socket. This was unquestionably the most terrifying nightmare Izuna had ever experienced.
He could swear that even death was less frightening than this scene.
The fact that he hadn't fainted on the spot was a testament to his fortitude.
Only after a long while did Izuna's shock slowly settle. Finally, he heaved a deep sigh, left with no choice but to accept Madara's decision.
Normally, Madara would do as he asked, but when it came to major decisions, there was truly nothing he could say as a younger brother to change his mind.
What could Izuna do with such a proud, stubborn older brother? All he could do was go along with him and help him.
"Brother, you two were far too reckless!"
But Izuna was still furious. Just what did Madara think his eyes and body were? What if he hurt himself, gouging out his Rinnegan so recklessly?
Even if he really wanted to transplant his Rinnegan into Hashirama, he should have been more careful. This wasn't like treating Izuna's injuries back in the Warring States era, when they truly lacked the means.
At the very least, he should have had Shingetsu and that mad scientist Tobirama watching!
"Izuna, I'm sorry..."
