Madara and the shinobi explored the Kaguya Ruins, where an inscription revealed the Senju and Uchiha shared ancestors and described the Rinnegan’s powers. While the others read, Shingetsu activated an ancient technique that drew Kaguya Otsutsuki’s consciousness from the moon into a rabbit, and she eagerly picked it up.
Shingetsu refused to give up the rabbit, and Madara eventually let her keep it despite Black Zetsu’s desperate efforts to reclaim Kaguya. Back in Konoha, the revelation that the Senju and Uchiha were descended from brothers caused turmoil, while Madara pursued a way to awaken the Rinnegan and asked Hashirama for his flesh.
After Hashirama and Madara’s gruesome experiment left Tsunade with hemophobia, Tobirama took her away from them. Meanwhile, Kaguya the bunny discovered a taste for sweets, and Shingetsu learned that Madara was weakened by Hashirama’s transplanted flesh before ordering Tobirama to implant her cells in her master.
Tobirama treated Madara after he implanted Hashirama’s cells, and Shingetsu’s cells helped the two powers harmonize while awakening Madara’s bloodline. Meanwhile, Tsunade struggled under Tobirama’s strict care until Madara snatched her and fled, with Tobirama in pursuit.
Madara impulsively took Tsunade and Hashirama out of Konoha, where he unexpectedly awakened Wood Release and the group’s chaotic outing quickly wore down his patience. After Tsunade rejected their grilled fish and Shingetsu caused a cooking disaster, Hashirama suggested finding a town to stay in.
Hashirama, Madara, Shingetsu, and Tsunade reached Pine Mountain Town, where Yuhi Qiang hurried to prepare for their arrival while the group ate at a restaurant. Shingetsu and Tsunade tasted rice wine for the first time, and the chapter ended with both wanting more.
Shingetsu and Tsunade sneaked away from the factory tour to drink Yuhi Qiang’s plum wine, while Yuhi Qiang joined them and taught them about drinking. Madara found them celebrating and erupted in anger, leaving Shingetsu pleading for Hashirama to save her.
Madara’s fury over Shingetsu drinking wine erupted into a fight with Hashirama, and he beat Shingetsu before noticing his Rinnegan had awakened. As Madara considered using its power to revive Izuna, his new eye revealed strange presences within Hashirama and Shingetsu.
After Madara returned to Konoha with the Rinnegan, he asked Tobirama to help resurrect Izuna and tried to make peace with Shingetsu. He discovered she had run away from home, while Shingetsu fled the Land of Fire with Kurama to avoid being caught and punished.
After Shingetsu ran away, Madara and Konoha launched a frantic search while Kurama helped her understand Madara’s fear of losing her. Still reluctant to return, Shingetsu devised a plan to blame Black Zetsu and captured him, threatening Kaguya Bunny to stop his escape.
Shingetsu lured Black Zetsu out by holding Kaguya Bunny hostage, then exposed him to the gathered shinobi. Madara read Black Zetsu’s memories and learned how he had manipulated history for a thousand years, but spared him for a possible Rinne Rebirth sacrifice.
Madara captured Black Zetsu and learned that it had manipulated him and shaped the Shinobi World's history for a thousand years. Shingetsu comforted Madara over the future he had nearly chosen, and he reunited with the people who had come to check on him.
Tobirama developed Impure World Reincarnation, allowing Madara and his allies to revive Izuna with Rinne Rebirth. Izuna reunited with Madara, then noticed Shingetsu and asked whether she was Madara’s daughter.
Izuna reunited with Madara and explored Konoha, learning how the village had changed since his death and how Shingetsu’s ideas had helped shape it. He began to wonder whether Shingetsu had been sent to save Madara and the Uchiha Clan.
Izuna returned to the Uchiha compound, reunited with Madara, and settled into domestic life with him and Shingetsu. After Madara revealed that the Uchiha and Senju ancestors were brothers, Izuna recovered from the shock and braided Shingetsu’s hair before asking whether she wanted to move in with them.
Shingetsu refused Izuna’s invitation to move in with him and Madara, while Hōkaku made a dramatic threat to hang himself if she left. As Izuna learned how Shingetsu had helped transform Konoha, he confronted Tobirama, who vanished using a Shadow Clone and left Izuna to take over his paperwork.
Izuna endured the crushing workload of Konoha’s administration, then began training a new generation of Uchiha disciples. At an emergency meeting about the Five Kage Summit, Izuna sought permission to attend, but Tobirama objected.
Tobirama argued that Izuna could not attend the Five Kage Summit without drawing suspicion, then proposed that Izuna impersonate him and was beaten by the Uchiha brothers. Shingetsu suggested revealing the Ōtsutsuki threat at the summit, and the group later gathered at the Uchiha Clan Compound to meet Izuna’s five apprentices and share a king crab.
Izuna settled into life in Konoha, where the family shared a feast and the village’s gossip papers forced them to invent a cover story for him. Shingetsu rescued Kaguya Bunny from Tobirama’s laboratory, but Hagoromo appeared and sealed Kaguya’s power before Shingetsu fainted at the sight of his ghost.
Shingetsu met Hagoromo and Hamura in her consciousness sea, where they discussed peace, her God Tree, and her powers. The brothers reinforced Kaguya’s seal and left Shingetsu with messages to pass on.
After Shingetsu woke, she claimed the Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Otsutsuki had visited her and warned that Hamura’s descendants would come for her, though the others doubted her story. Two Ōtsutsuki family factions arrived from the moon to claim her, and the Branch Family’s attempt to break into Konoha triggered an alarm.
Two Ōtsutsuki father-and-son pairs arrived in Konoha from the moon seeking Shingetsu, whom they called the Princess of the God Tree. After Shingetsu rejected their appearance and tried to leave, the Uchiha brothers continued beating them.
Madara and Izuna interrogated the Ōtsutsuki Main Family father and son, learned that Hamura had arranged a marriage between Shingetsu and an Ōtsutsuki, and resolved to visit the moon. Hashirama reassured Shingetsu that he and Madara would protect her, while Madara threatened to dig up Hamura's grave.
Tobirama, Madara, and their companions traveled to the moon with the Ōtsutsuki father and son, making the shinobi world's first moon landing. On the moon, Shingetsu revealed signs that she was about to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan, and the group followed Ōtsutsuki Terukuru toward the sealed Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.
Madara Uchiha sealed the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path inside the moon and forced Ōtsutsuki Terukuru to lead him to Hamura Otsutsuki's grave. As the group explored the Ōtsutsuki clan's hidden paradise, Tobirama proposed placing a Byakugan-destroying seal on every member of the clan.
