When Naruto told the two of them he was taking them to another world, they were both tempted. But something looming right before them quickly dampened their excitement.
A Demon Dragon would soon spawn in the Magic Region. If they managed to kill it, every member of their Guild would receive the title of Dragon Slayer.
That title was more than just a name-it came with stat bonuses. More importantly, there were skill points to be earned as well.
"Madara, how about... I go, and you stay?" Hashirama suggested after some thought.
In Hashirama's opinion, individual strength wasn't all that important when competing for a boss kill. Being strong only meant dealing more damage, but... there was no guarantee another Guild wouldn't pull some dirty trick.
Hashirama felt that deploying troops and handling Guild affairs really weren't his forte.
Madara shook his head at that. "I'd better go. You stay."
Madara believed Hashirama had more of a leader's presence than he did. More importantly, the Guild members trusted Hashirama, whereas they tended to fear Madara or feel pressured around him.
After some discussion, along with an analysis from Tobirama Senju and Uchiha Izuna, they finally decided that Madara would accompany Naruto to the Otherworld while Hashirama stayed behind.
Once they finished discussing it, Naruto smiled. "Don't worry! If you can't go this time, there's always next time."
With that, Naruto left the Virtual World with Madara Uchiha.
Back in the Real World, Naruto took out the Gigai he had prepared beforehand and handed it to Madara. After entering it, Madara clenched his fists a few times and soon regained the feeling of having a physical body.
Aizen had specially made this Gigai. It wasn't the same model used by the people in the Sealing Space.
