• Itachi knocked Yamanaka Fū unconscious while Naruto knocked out Asuma Sarutobi.

Jiraiya traveled alone to Rōran while Naruto and his allies prepared a staged battle to make Tsunade believe he had died. Jiraiya entered Sage Mode and was ambushed by Nagato and two masked attackers as Obito filmed the fight.

• Big Naruto and Little Naruto entered the Sealing Space, where skinny Kurama questioned fat Kurama about who he was.
• Fat Kurama shared the original Naruto storyline with skinny Kurama, who agreed to become Big Naruto’s boss and big brother.

More than ten kilometers from the village, they began fighting the pursuing Pains, leaving Nagato and Itachi battling while Deva Path Pain countered Nagato’s attacks.

• Nagato revealed his identity to Deva Path Pain and tried to explain that Madara had given him the Rinnegan and manipulated his suffering, but Pain attacked him with Banshō Ten'in.
