After hearing that Itachi was seeking him, Sasuke and the Hawk Squad headed for the Uchiha meeting place, followed by grateful villagers.

• The Otherworld Itachi described his plan for Sasuke to kill Itachi, learn the truth, and kill Danzo, and Itachi agreed that Sasuke could then focus on revolution.

• Sasuke confronted Danzo at the summit, but Gaara tried to stop him until Temari pulled Gaara aside.
• Danzo’s Root ninja attacked Sasuke, who defended himself with Susanoo and used Amaterasu to clear his path as Danzo fled with Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu.
