Arc 8The Mother Ship Strike
As the BETA advance threatened Persia, Madrid, and Area 18, Lin Cuo coordinated defensive efforts and pushed forward Nina’s Goddess of Love weapon project. When a Mother Ship-Class emerged beneath Cornelia’s battlefield, Lin Cuo launched a rescue and a risky orbital kinetic strike, leaving the attack’s outcome uncertain.
- Lin Cuo resumed the tournament broadcast and arranged Kallen’s fight against the Knights of the Round, where she defeated Gino, Bismarck, and Anya before seeing BETA lasers destroy Indian forces in Persia.
- Wangshu revealed that the BETA had adapted lasers to attack satellites, and Li Xingke and Todo reorganized the Eastern Theater while Great Han and Britannia coordinated their defenses.
- Lin Cuo worked with Nina on the Goddess of Love project, while Great Han’s electromagnetic weapons and battlefield broadcasts helped disrupt the Laser-Class and raise wartime support.
- Britannia and the E.U. struggled with heavy losses and delayed mobilization, as Smilas eventually approved the First Joint Mobile Group’s deployment to Madrid and Great Han supplied it with machines.
- Nina solved a key research bottleneck, and Lin Cuo presented the Goddess of Love weapon to the military conference, appointing Li Xingke to coordinate its strategic engineering.
- Cornelia’s forces in Area 18 suffered severe air losses, and intelligence revealed that a nearly 1,800-meter Mother Ship-Class was approaching beneath the battlefield.
- Lin Cuo arranged a joint rescue for Cornelia, and Euphemia promised him a proper date after the war if her sister returned safely, and Lin Cuo and Kallen launched with the IS pilots as Li Xingke coordinated the withdrawal.
- Celestial Balance Seven released a tungsten-composite projectile at the Heavy Laser-Class, which destroyed the orbital platform and burned away much of the projectile before it pierced the BETA’s firing organ and struck the ground.
