The Star Medals on Zoffy's chest shone brilliantly.
A weathered voice sounded in the pilots' minds. "Children, be very careful. These things are dangerous!"
He glared at the four Mass Production Models blocking his path and the one harassing Unit-01, immediately devising a plan based on the report Zero had previously sent to the Land of Light. (Note: Zoffy knew the names of the EVAs.)
"Unit-00 and Unit-02, go support Shinji. Rescue Zero as quickly as you can. Pedanium Unit-03 and I will hold them off!"
"Yes!" Asuka and Rei Ayanami answered in unison, immediately piloting Unit-02 and Unit-00 toward Unit-01 to reinforce it.
Zoffy and Pedanium Unit-03 stood side by side.
Although Zero's report had described Pedanium Unit-03 as extremely powerful, Zoffy still wasn't entirely reassured.

It wasn't that Zoffy distrusted Kaworu Nagisa's or Pedanium Unit-03's strength. Rather, the Ultra Warriors cared deeply for the boy. If the situation hadn't been urgent, they would never have let someone so young onto the battlefield.
