• Kazuya Serizawa revived Kyoko from Unit-02, and Asuka embraced her mother after she emerged from the Entry Plug.
• The United Nations arrested SEELE's leaders, sentenced Gendo Ikari to life imprisonment, and began reorganizing NERV and the global armed forces.
• Kaworu Nagisa lost the Angel component, Rei Ayanami became physically stable, and the Ultra Brothers restored Antarctica's ocean and glaciers.
• Hideki Go encountered Hideaki Anno, recovered memories of being Jiro Dan, and spoke with him about the legacy of Return of Ultraman.
• A red-robed old man, a rainbow light, and a red Y-shaped crystal discussed humanity's evolution and warned that a catastrophe was drawing near.

Shinji and Asuka visited Tokyo-3’s tokusatsu exhibition, where a mysterious Zero cosplayer and a young man named Ryotaro helped them make memories they could not remember afterward. Later, Kaworu Nagisa and Rei Ayanami acknowledged their feelings for each other and chose to give them a chance.

• Shinji and Asuka explored the exhibition, took photos with tokusatsu cosplayers, and got Joe Odagiri’s autograph.
• A Zero cosplayer caught Shinji when Ryotaro accidentally knocked into him, and Shinji sensed a familiar presence.
• Ryotaro took photos of Shinji and Asuka with the Dinosaur Sentai team and the Zero cosplayer, who wished them well and said he now knew who had taken the pictures.
• Afterward, Shinji and Asuka could not remember who had taken those photos, and Shinji carried Asuka home on his back.
• Kaworu Nagisa told Rei Ayanami that he had developed feelings for her, and Rei agreed to give their feelings a chance.

Kaji and Misato married, receiving blessings and gifts from Mirror Knight and Zero while the inter-universe war continued. Later, Shinji and Asuka began a new school semester with Takeshi Yamato—Ultraman Eddie—as their teacher, and the story concluded with his first lesson.

• Kaji and Misato exchanged vows and rings as their friends celebrated, and Asuka caught Misato’s bouquet.
• Mirror Knight arrived late with blessings from Princess Emerana, Zero, and the others, and gave Misato a pendant from Mirror Star.
• A Galactic Federation courier delivered Zero’s gift, a bouquet of Plasma Crystal flowers from the Land of Light, before Mirror Knight departed to rejoin the fighting.
• Shinji and Asuka began living together at Yui Ikari’s new home, then returned to school for the new semester.
• Takeshi Yamato introduced himself as the new teacher, and Shinji and Asuka recognized him as Senior Eddie.
