"I'll head home now, then. Bye, Sucrose!"

Under the shocked gazes of countless Mondstadt City residents, Ellin helped Sucrose drag the Cryo Regisvine all the way into her home.

Seeing how impatient Sucrose looked, Ellin knew she could barely contain her curiosity anymore. She tactfully waved goodbye and left Sucrose to her work.

"Mm-hmm! Bye, Ellin! Just wait for my good news! This time, I'll definitely make a super-big sweet flower!"

"And I'll definitely make you the best Slime bra in the world!"

After making that promise to Ellin, Sucrose immediately set to work dissecting the Cryo Regisvine.

Carrying a Cryo Regisvine through the streets of Mondstadt City was simply far too conspicuous.

So the moment Ellin got home, Hermann and his wife pulled her aside to ask what had happened.

Ellin really liked her current home, and she really liked her current parents, too.

With a smile on her face, she sat at the dining table and gave Hermann and his wife a vivid account of her and Feng'er's battle against the Cryo Regisvine. Naturally, she embellished a few things along the way.

Hermann and his wife listened with rapt attention, and the whole family spent dinner laughing together in warm harmony.

Hermann was particularly delighted by the story. The moment dinner was over, he hurried out the door, presumably off to the Angel's Share to brag to his drinking buddies again.

After helping her mother clear away the dishes, Ellin took a bath and returned to her room to rest.

Early the next morning, she went to the Training Ground to continue developing new moves.

While she was training, Noelle came to see Ellin.

Since Ellin and Noelle were the same age and both working toward joining the Knights of Favonius, they had always been good friends.

There was less than a month left until this year's knight selection exam. Every year around this time, Noelle set aside many of her other duties, either burying herself in the library to study or coming to the Training Ground to exchange insights with Ellin and train together.

Since Ellin had previously been nowhere near as strong as Noelle, it had usually been Noelle guiding Ellin at this time of year.

But things were different now. After her two battles in the Whispering Woods and Wolvendom, followed by yesterday's feat of carrying a Cryo Regisvine into Mondstadt City on her shoulder, Ellin had made quite a name for herself in Mondstadt City!

Apparently, people in the taverns were already putting Ellin alongside the Darknight Hero, Acting Grand Master Jean, and Klee, calling them Mondstadt City's four strongest fighters.

Of course, Ellin owed that honor in large part to her father Hermann's embellished boasts in the taverns.

Still, even the most outrageous lie needed some basis in fact to be believable. If Ellin hadn't possessed enough strength herself, no amount of bragging from Hermann would have convinced anyone.

Shattering a sea of flames with a single icy arrow, fighting seven Hilichurl Berserkers and two Abyss Mages alone in Wolvendom, and carrying a Cryo Regisvine into the city on her shoulder-these were all real feats that people had witnessed.

Noelle was envious of Ellin's achievements, but she was happy for her, too.

In previous years, she had always been the one guiding Ellin's training. Now, she trained under Ellin's guidance, steadily working on her shortcomings.

"Sigh... With your strength, Ellin, you're sure to become a full-fledged knight this year. But I don't know if I still have a chance..."

At lunch, Noelle rested her chin on one hand and sighed. Every year around this time, she couldn't help worrying.

"Don't worry. Everyone sees how hard you work, Noelle. You'll definitely become a full-fledged knight this year!"

Ellin smiled and encouraged Noelle, but she actually knew very well that Noelle couldn't pass the exam.

Ellin also knew exactly why Noelle couldn't become a full-fledged knight, but she couldn't say it aloud, because it wasn't a matter of strength.

Noelle had long since become strong enough. What she lacked was one of the qualities a knight needed.

She still needed to grow, and words alone wouldn't bring about that growth. She needed an opportunity to change her perspective and make her truly understand what she lacked.

Only through that growth could she become a truly steadfast knight!

Seven days passed in the blink of an eye.

Over those seven days, Ellin's life was very peaceful.

Every morning, she trained with Noelle at the Training Ground. At noon, she went home for lunch and a nap. In the afternoon, she went to spend time with Fischl, adventuring around Mondstadt with her and taking on tasks that weren't dangerous.

Ellin didn't particularly need money now, and for the time being, she didn't want to take on overly troublesome tasks. She just wanted to do simple jobs and enjoy her time with Fischl.

The results weren't important. What mattered was the joy she felt along the way and the happy smiles of the people beside her.

Her peaceful, comfortable life filled Ellin with delight. She loved this sort of life-or rather, this was exactly the life she sought.

Being able to spend every day happily with the characters from Genshin Impact was her greatest wish.

During those seven days, Sucrose seemed to have gone straight into seclusion. She neither sent any news nor came to visit Ellin.

It wasn't until the evening of the eighth day, just after Ellin had returned home from training and finished her bath, that Sucrose knocked on her front door.

"Ellin, long time no see!"

Sucrose stood in the doorway with a bag in her hand and gave Ellin a sweet smile.

"Oh, Sucrose! What brings you here so late?"

"Oh, right! I have something important to talk to you about!"

"Come on, let's go to your room!"

As she spoke, Sucrose took Ellin's hand and led her toward her room.

Once they were inside Ellin's room, Sucrose carefully closed the door.

"What's with all the secrecy?" Ellin asked, a little puzzled.

"Ta-da! Here, Ellin, this is for you!"

With a broad smile on her face, Sucrose solemnly handed Ellin the bag.

"I didn't let you down. I've finally finished!"

"Could it be?!" Ellin perked up, took the bag, and opened it!

Inside were three neatly folded sets of blue-and-white garments!

"Slime bras! You finally finished them!" Ellin was ecstatic!

"Hehe, these are the most perfect Slime bras ever made, designed to suit Ellin better than anything else!"

Ellin took one out, and her eyes lit up. The Slime bra's design amazed her.

The Slime bra's overall color scheme was blue and white. Its cups were shaped like flower petals, with a small patch of red stamens sewn on as decoration. The shoulder straps and back band were made from an unknown soft, translucent blue material, while the clasp was made from something resembling blue crystal.

Being able to carve a material like crystal into something as small and delicate as a clasp was, without a doubt, a sign of near-masterful craftsmanship.

A ring of fine blue stamens had also been sewn around the bra's edges. At first glance, they really did look a little like lace trim.

Ellin fell in love with the Slime bra at first sight, but she soon frowned.

Because she kept feeling as though she had seen the materials used to make the Slime Bra somewhere before...
