[Aha invited you to join "One Big Cosmic Family"]
Xianyu: Aha, why are you everywhere?!
Wait, anyone in a group with Aha was clearly no pushover.
Could they be Aeons?
Xianyu typed and tapped, then finally decided to greet the Aeons in the group with a meme.
[No replies outside work hours: Cat Heart.jpg] [A Piece of Scrap Metal: ...] [A Piece of Scrap Metal changed their display name to "Erudition"] [You have been removed from the group by "Erudition"]
Xianyu: "..."
An ellipsis was probably the only thing that could accurately convey how he felt at that moment.
Sure enough, Aha couldn't be trusted. The Aeon of Elation hadn't mentioned a word about his bad blood with the Aeon of Erudition.
Xianyu couldn't fathom what earth-shattering thing he had done to get on the wrong side of one Aeon after another.
[Aha invited you to join "One Big Cosmic Family"] [Aha made you an administrator] [Aha: Hahaha, now that hunk of metal can't kick you out.]
Erudition said nothing and simply left the group.
Xianyu: "..."
He stared hard at his Jade Abacus, watching that system notification.
["Erudition" left "One Big Cosmic Family"]
He wasn't some nasty thing. Was that really necessary?
[No replies outside work hours: Do I have some kind of beef with them?] [Aha: My dear friend, have you forgotten?] [Hundred Paces Piercing Leaves: .] [Aha: You scrapped a lot of metal hunks back then.] [Aha: Oh, getting worked up? Have you finished your homework? @Hundred Paces Piercing Leaves]
Xianyu automatically filtered out the useless information and belatedly remembered what Fuli had said.
Fuli had said that, to the Swarm and Intellitron life-forms, he was a sinner.
No wonder the Aeon of Erudition had reacted that way.
Xianyu: Turns out I'm the nasty thing...
He tried putting himself in their shoes.
Someone who had wronged him had been dead for centuries, with the grass on their grave practically taller than a mountain.
Then, one day, that person suddenly crawled out of their grave.
Not only did they crawl out of their coffin, but they even started posting cat memes in his group chat...
How revolting would that be?!
Xianyu sighed inwardly. Erudition really was an Aeon-so magnanimous.
If that happened to him, forget kicking someone out or leaving the group. He might crawl down the network cable and tear them apart alive.
He felt guilty for one brief second, then muted the group notifications and began browsing the member list with interest, trying to find the owner.
Which Aeon could have brought together all these wildly different personalities?
Without even thinking, Xianyu ruled out Aha first.
Please. Why would any of the Aeons do Aha that favor?!
His eyes immediately landed on the member at the very top of the list: Akivili.
The profile picture was predominantly gray, with what looked like a train carriage in the background. In the center stood a man dressed like a medieval ship captain, his gray hair making his golden eyes look especially striking.
Artist: @Wutong Wu. No editing or reposting.
Apparently, Akivili, the Aeon of Trailblaze, had the personality closest to that of a human.
They were constantly putting their Path into practice.
A train powered by their divine strength traveled between planets.
They met Nameless of all different temperaments, laughed together with them, then parted ways at some point, witnessing humanity's joys and sorrows, reunions and farewells, anger and delight firsthand.
Perhaps that was precisely why Akivili's personality was so close to a human's.
Probably only Akivili would have thought to make a group chat for Aeons.
And only they could have pulled it off.
Xianyu felt a swell of emotion.
How could he put it? It was like a friend he hadn't had the chance to meet yet had kicked the bucket before they could even say hello.
But he knew they would have become the closest of friends.
Sadly, Akivili had fallen long ago.
Having lost his memories, he could only reach across the years through written accounts, sketching out those days of free, unrestrained trailblazing.
Come on, no troublesome citizens, no energy reserves or funds about to run dry-just thinking about it made him happy!
Xianyu thought it over. He had probably grown tired of being the Yaoqing General, then retired and switched careers to become a Nameless.
He didn't dwell on his feelings for long. The moment his immediate superior appeared in the work chat, he put One Big Cosmic Family out of his mind.
[Xianzhou Luofu Divination Commission] [Diviner Xiao Lin: @Everyone]
The Lord Diviner rarely posted in the group.
Had The Hunt fired another arrow somewhere? Were they going to have to work overtime again?
[Diviner Xiao Lin: Fellow Diviners, to improve the Divination Commission's working atmosphere and everyone's experience at work, the Alchemy Commission will provide regular psychological counseling starting tomorrow. I will also speak with each of you individually to check on your work and personal lives. If you need any help, please don't hesitate to say so. Put your current work on hold for now. Today, please complete these Psychological Tests prepared by the Alchemy Commission and cooperate with our sister department.] [Diviner Xiao Lin: Shared "Occupational Psychological Test," "12 Personality Disorder Test," "Psychological Stress Test," and "Self-Rating Depression Scale"]
Xianyu: "..."
He fell silent as he looked at the four assessments, each averaging a hundred or two hundred questions.
In the work chat, his colleagues were either replying "Understood" or showering the Diviner with flattery.
Xianyu followed the crowd and replied "Understood," then watched his socially savvy colleague put on a show.
The colleague passionately declared that they were blessed beyond measure to have a leader like the Lord Diviner who cared so much for his subordinates. Thank you for looking after our physical and mental health, sir. You've thought of everything. Clearly, we still need to learn more from you, elevate our thinking, and broaden our horizons so we can better serve the entire Xianzhou, the entire Luofu.
[Diviner Xiao Lin: This is General Teng Xiao's order.]
One sentence from their immediate superior killed the brownnosing contest outright.
The socially savvy colleague didn't seem embarrassed in the slightest. Instead, they smoothly changed tack, taking their cue from the Diviner's words to lavish praise on both him and the general.
Xianyu opened the group chat he had made with his colleagues.
There were no bosses in this group, only the Divination Commission's working stiffs.
The colleague who had just been fawning over their superior was now swearing furiously in the chat.
The whole group was filled with foul language, their complaints rattling on nonstop like a telegraph machine.
They had only just finished welcoming the Xianzhou Marshal and were swamped with work. They hadn't even sorted out their own department's affairs, so why did they have to drop everything to take some blasted Psychological Tests?
The socially savvy colleague led the charge, making the first move in the work chat by asking Diviner Xiao Lin in a roundabout way:
Were these Psychological Tests only for the Divination Commission, or did the other departments have to take them too?
The Diviner explained that the Divination Commission was the pilot department. Whether the program would be rolled out elsewhere depended on the results.
Every working stiff in the department exploded.
Roll it out! Roll it out, damn it! The Six Commissions and the Cloud Knights all need to get what's coming to them!
After letting loose in the group chat and thoroughly venting their emotions, the workers finally calmed down and began talking over one another, guessing at General Teng Xiao's intentions.
The socially savvy colleague announced that they had already figured out the truth.
[I heard a Cloud Knight stabbed one of our colleagues several times!]
Xianyu: "..."
This Cloud Knight you're talking about... is it the Sword Champion?
And is that colleague me?
