"BOOOOM!!!!!"
A massive energy blast fired from ULB's tiny mouth, slamming the human straight into the wall beside the corridor's front entrance.
A torrent of garbled code erupted, its noise completely drowning out even the human's screams.
After firing the blast from her mouth, ULB's head began twitching unnaturally. In an instant, she vanished from the spot and appeared behind the human.
"Try this."
ULB held out her hands, holes opening in them, and visible fluctuations of energy rippled over her body. As immense amounts of energy gathered wildly in her palms, even the simulated magic in the air gradually grew thin.
"BANG!!!!"
ULB clapped her hands together. Two enormous hands shaped just like hers seemed to emerge from the void, crushing the human's body into a compact lump.
ULB kept changing her hand gestures, and the human trapped between the giant palms changed shape at her whim.
Suddenly, ULB clenched both hands tightly, then violently pulled them apart.
The human's body fell apart, and a mass of mysterious red-and-black matter erupted like a fountain.
You could compare the sight to cracking a raw egg.
"Letting it end so easily would be far too merciful to you."
A female voice came from ULB's mouth. Sans was probably the one speaking at that moment.
Sure enough, the earlier modification to -1 HP took effect. Even though the human had been split in two, they were whole again in the blink of an eye, but their memories of the pain had not disappeared.
Taking advantage of the moment when the human recovered, Killer and Murder, who had been standing off to the side watching ULB fight, could no longer stay put. They appeared on either side of the human.
In an instant, every bone filling the air pointed toward the human.
In a single exchange, the human became a pincushion.
Without giving the human time to breathe, Murder teleported directly beneath them and crouched down hard, instantly shattering the floor.
Using the recoil, Murder shot upward at incredible speed.
Grabbing the human by the collar, Murder hurled them upward with all her strength, smashing a human-shaped crater into the ceiling.
"My turn."
Killer flashed into view in front of the human, a distinct pale gray showing in her eyes. In midair, she unleashed a rapid, unbroken flurry of slashes, delivering more than twenty strikes in less than a second. The force of her blade drove the human through the corridor's ceiling and out into the sky.
By then, the entire sky was dim and colorless. White code filled every visible corner, so much of it that it even slowed the rules governing the entire world. Gravity no longer had as pronounced an effect as before.
In other words, the world was collapsing, just like this timeline.
ULB appeared before the human at an uncanny speed. Floating in the air, she stared intently at their face, twisted by unbearable pain and fear.
"Human, you treated their lives as a game of strategy... To explore new outcomes, you reset them to zero again and again, didn't you?"
ULB's eyeless face flickered and distorted wildly all around the human, while white code drifted between them like a long river.
Those gray forgotten ones and followers kept appearing around the two of them. The human seemed to hear their voices rising one after another in praise of ███.
"Talking to him is pointless."
Clarity returned to ULB's eyes. She summoned an enormous ███ blaster from somewhere unknown. It opened its mouth wide, almost enclosing the human within it.
As yellow and blue light flickered faintly in ULB's left eye, the giant blaster's jaws snapped shut, spraying copious amounts of mysterious red liquid.
"Go back."
The giant blaster retreated into the void. Grabbing the mangled, still-regenerating human in her hand, ULB hurled them downward with all her strength, looking remarkably like Murder. The human hurtled toward the corridor below like a cannonball.
