John studied the Time Stone at Kamar-Taj, then learned from the Ancient One that the approaching Conjunction of the Spheres could bring a calamity from beyond the worlds. He left for London with the warning in mind, but froze when he spotted a familiar face in a department store.
Hermione Granger nearly crossed paths with John at a London shop, while John avoided meeting her and returned home. He forged the second Finite Stone from the Time Stone’s energy and gained the power to alter the age of objects.
Mycroft visited John Wick to explain how John’s parents survived attacks by the High Table, Mole, Hydra, and the Red Room, including an assault by the Winter Soldier. He asked John to investigate a strange, space-altering disappearance, offering information about a British superhero initiative in return.
Jane joined Daisy and her intern to investigate an abandoned factory where strange effects warped gravity and objects. A force pulled Jane into another world, where John rescued her from dark red particles that infected her before he sealed them inside a stone pillar.
John rescued Jane from a spatial rift and reunited her with Daisy and Thor in London. After Jane and Thor reconciled, John warned Thor that something dangerous was inside Jane.
John demonstrated the danger of Jane’s dark red energy before Thor took them to Asgard on the Bifrost, where the healer examined Jane. Odin tried to dismiss Jane, but the energy inside her threw away the guards who touched her.
John recognized the Aether inside Jane as an Infinity Stone and offered to extract it, while arranging access to Asgard’s magical books in exchange. As he began the procedure, he gave Jane a treatment capsule and cast a spell to extract her soul and lessen her pain.
John extracted the Aether from Jane and transformed part of it into a new Finite Stone, leaving the Aether divided among three portions. After Jane recovered, John began considering whether to seek the Tesseract, but he met Frigga first.
Malekith awakened in the ruined Svartalfheim and vowed to reclaim the Aether and restore darkness. In Asgard, John extracted the Aether from Jane, spoke with Frigga about her foreboding dream, and reflected on how prophecy could fix the future.
John studied Asgardian dimension magic and learned how the Bifrost traveled between worlds, then got permission from Thor to inspect it. At the Bifrost, he ran into Fandral and Volstagg as they returned with prisoners, including a figure in a curved-horn mask.
John watched the prisoners arrive in Asgard while Loki wrestled with his guilt and fear in the dungeon. Algrim transformed into Kurse and freed prisoners, while a Dark Elves attack began, leaving Asgard under threat.
Asgard came under attack by the Dark Elves while Odin was responding to a prison riot, and John joined the defense to protect Frigga. Malekith and Kurse retreated after John used the Aether against them, and Odin recognized the three Infinity Stones on John's hand.
John confronted Odin over collecting the Infinity Stones and accused him of banishing his daughter after shaping her into a weapon. After Odin ordered John to leave Asgard, John reassured Thor and asked what kind of king he wanted to become.
Thor sought a way to move the fight against the Dark Elves away from Asgard, while Malekith formed an alliance with the Wild Hunt. With the Bifrost closed, Thor turned to Loki for help reaching Svartalfheim.
Odin sent warriors to confront Heimdall after Heimdall confessed to treason, while Thor and Loki escaped to Svartalfheim with Jane to lure out Malekith. The Wild Hunt stole the Aether from Asgard and delivered it to Malekith, whose meeting with Thor, Loki, and Jane was interrupted by the Hunt’s arrival.
Thor and Loki failed to stop Malekith from taking the Aether, and Loki appeared to die destroying Kurse before John revealed he was alive and took him into custody. As the Conjunction of the Spheres approached London, John warned Mycroft of the coming crisis and proposed that wizards publicly become heroes through the Children of Miracle.
At Greenwich, Mycroft and John prepared to confront the Dark Elves as the Nine Realms aligned, while Mycroft revealed Britain’s magical M-Series weapons. Malekith arrived with his forces and attacked Thor, beginning the battle.
As the Nine Realms converged, Jane and Selvig used their machines to scatter the Dark Elves, while Aurors and elegant agents fought them and rescued civilians in Greenwich. Thor and Malekith battled across realms, but Malekith reached the Aether as the conjunction peaked and began spreading its power across the Nine Realms.
A returning wizard helped Thor break through the Aether barrier and battle Malekith during the Conjunction of the Spheres. A sniper struck Malekith with a powerful shot, but the Dark Elf survived as the battle continued.
The Aurors, Thor, and a sniper fought to contain Malekith’s Aether as it threatened to consume the Nine Realms. A silver-masked figure seized control of the Aether, enabling the sniper to kill Malekith, and declared that magic bowed to him.
John sealed the Aether and ended the threat to the Nine Realms, then reunited with Harry and revealed himself as the Wizard King to the Aurors. As the battle’s destruction spread across the world, John prepared to stop the collapsing Dark Elves warship in Greenwich.
John restored Greenwich with the Aether, shrank the Dark Elves Warship, and gave the Aether to Thor to return to Asgard. Mycroft began recruiting Wizards for Britain’s own heroes, then led a meeting to plan closer cooperation with the Wizarding Kingdom.
After the Greenwich invasion, wizards became public heroes as people learned they had repaired damage and protected the city. Fury worried that the United Kingdom’s growing hero program would challenge S.H.I.E.L.D., while a vampire appeared in London amid a bloody killing.
A mysterious woman slaughtered a vampire stronghold while searching for Yardani, and Blade arrived to find her among the corpses. The chapter left Blade facing the blood-soaked woman, uncertain of who she was or what she would do next.
John returned to Silver Hand Manor, restored its neglected garden, and resumed researching Asgardian magic before Mycroft summoned him with a promised gift. At the Diogenes Club, Mycroft revealed that John Wick had saved John’s parents from certain death.
