A killing spree

He picked up a bottle of [Vampire Blood] and a set of [Vampire Fangs] from the floor and stuffed them into his backpack.

Off to a great start!

Yang Bo was delighted. As long as he had enough vampire blood, he could raise his Hunter class level and greatly improve his strength.

Blade had already gone on a killing spree. Although he couldn't see the cheat-like golden boxes around the vampires the way Yang Bo could, his years of dealing with vampires allowed him to clearly pick up their scent.

He generally didn't kill vampire followers, but Yang Bo had no such qualms. Whenever he saw someone bearing a vampire mark, he raised his gun and shot them in the forehead.

The only people more despicable than enemies were traitors.

He picked up the [Human Heart] and [Pure Salt] from the floor. These were drops from vampire followers, yet in the game, they only dropped from hunters that spawned in the wild.

The [Human Heart] is one thing, but these vampire followers even drop [Pure Salt]!

Pure salt could be made into blessed salt, then processed into blessed salt water with a Brewing Stand. Right-clicking a Purification Altar while holding the blessed salt water would turn it into holy water, which could deal considerable damage to vampires.

For a time, the bar was filled with vampires' agonized howls, and every so often, another vampire burst into flames. Blade and Yang Bo were like gods of slaughter. Before the vampires could react, they killed the dozen or so vampires on the first floor along with seven Vampire Confidants.

Hearing the noise below, the vampires upstairs came running down. Blade drew a specially modified pistol from his trench coat and aimed at the stairs leading to the second floor. Bang, bang, bang...

A stream of bullets flew out. The vampires swarming downstairs became nothing more than live targets for Blade's shooting practice, and Yang Bo felt a pang of regret at the sight.

Those... those are all materials!

He spat out his cigarette butt, stomped it out, and turned his gaze toward the bar counter. He could see another vampire hiding behind it. With his weapon ready, he walked over. Hearing his footsteps, the vampire abruptly rose from behind the counter with a shotgun in hand and pulled the trigger at Yang Bo without a word.

Already prepared, Yang Bo quickly darted aside and avoided the shotgun blast. A contemptuous smile appeared on his face as he raised his gun and put a bullet into the vampire's head. He had discovered that even ordinary pistol bullets inflicted heavy damage when they struck a vampire's skull.

"A sneak attack? You really thought I wasn't ready?"

Dodging bullets was simple. All he had to do was move out of the line of fire before his opponent finished raising their gun and aiming. All that required was nerves of steel, and while Yang Bo might not have much else going for him, he wasn't afraid of dying.

He jumped onto the counter, raised his Iron Axe, and brought it down hard on the vampire, who might have been a waiter or a bartender. Then he switched to a Stake from his backpack and drove it into the vampire's throat.

With a wet squelch, the vampire opened his mouth in a silent scream and began to burn. As he turned to ash, no more vampires came running down from upstairs to die, and the bar fell quiet again.

Blade looked around but saw no sign of the police officer. He said to Yang Bo, "Looks like there's a hidden passage leading somewhere else!"

Yang Bo lowered his head, selected a few promising-looking bottles from the liquor cabinet, and tossed them into his backpack. Hearing Blade, he said casually, "The Secret Passage is inside the Fridge in the Kitchen!"

Blade's expression said, You've got to be kidding me.

Who would put a hidden passage inside a fridge?

Despite that thought, his feet carried him toward the Kitchen anyway. Just then, Yang Bo said to him, "We haven't cleared out upstairs yet. Some of them are hiding!"

"I'll go finish off the ones upstairs first. Can you wait a bit?"

Standing at the doorway to the Kitchen, Blade stopped when he heard Yang Bo. "I'll check out the back first!"

Yang Bo shrugged, put away his torch, and headed for the stairs to the second floor. Since the bar's exterior walls were completely sealed off, there wasn't a single window upstairs either. Fortunately, a few lights still shone in the hallway, keeping it from being pitch-black.

Guest rooms lined both sides of the long hallway. Some photographs brimming with "art" hung on the walls, and the sight left Yang Bo's mouth dry.

Just what you'd expect from a bar run by the Japanese. They really pile on the "art"!

He kicked open a door and coolly surveyed the room like the main villain in a film. The first thing he saw was a huge round bed, where three girls and a vampire huddled together. All four were naked, clutching a sheet and pressing against one another in terror, as though that was the only way they could feel warm.

"You lot sure know how to have fun!"

At the sight of Yang Bo entering, the vampire immediately shouted angrily, sprang off the bed, and lunged at him with Crow Takes Flight.

"Baka!"

Yang Bo was about to fire, but that familiar shout made him immediately put away his pistol and take out the silver-studded baseball bat Leo had left behind. He swung it into the Japanese bastard's abdomen. With no clothing protecting the vampire's body, the silver on the bat acted like sulfuric acid, corroding his abdomen until it turned black.

Yang Bo removed the Silver Necklace from the bat, wrapped it around his hand, and spat on the floor before saying:

"Pah! Before, this was a fight between species. Now it's personal, you Japanese bastard!"

Left hook, right hook, jab!

A strong, sour stench rose from the vampire's body, the result of the silver corroding his flesh.

Blade had already found the hidden passage leading underground. Worried about Yang Bo's safety, he came up to the second floor with Karen. Following the sounds, they found Yang Bo standing in front of a naked man, punching him over and over.

Seeing the corrosion on the man's body, Blade immediately realized he was a vampire. But judging by Yang Bo's unmistakable determination to torture him, there was clearly more to this than an ordinary vampire encounter.

After glancing at the health above the vampire's head, Yang Bo put the Silver Necklace wrapped around his hand into his backpack. He took out a Stake and drove it into the Japanese vampire's abdomen. Watching his body burn, he said with lingering dissatisfaction, "You got off easy!"

If the circumstances hadn't been so inconvenient, Yang Bo would have wanted to take this vampire back with him. Then, whenever he encountered vampire followers, he could kidnap them, bring them home, and use this Japanese vampire to turn them all into vampires. That would make obtaining [Vampire Blood] much easier.

He looked up at the three trembling anime-style girls on the bed and said, "Sing 'Chin Chin' for me, and I'll let you off!"

That song had left a deep impression on him when he watched Blade.
