Yang Bo's disappearance marked the breakdown of negotiations. He found Frost's terms almost laughable.

The Marvel Universe was about to enter an age of sweeping upheaval, yet a bunch of vampires dared to talk about power. Even setting aside the other superheroes and supervillains, the Inhumans living on the moon were far beyond anything the current vampire race could contend with.

"Retreat!"

Frost deeply regretted coming here. Blade wasn't the only Daywalker. Although the others kept a very low profile, going after them wouldn't have brought him up against an enemy like Yang Bo.

The vampires surrounding Frost rushed outside as though they had been granted a pardon. Then a terrifying sight greeted them: Yang Bo appeared beside their cars, holding a white pickaxe. With a few light taps, the cars vanished.

"Damn it, what kind of monster is this guy?"

"Let's take him on!"

"We have to kill him!"

Seeing them raise their weapons, Yang Bo activated [Camouflage] again and vanished from their sight.

When Yang Bo disappeared, Frost immediately said, "Forget him for now. Get out of here!" His words snapped the vampires out of their anger. If this continued, they would all die here.

Seeing this, Yang Bo had no choice but to stop hiding. These vampires were simply too fast. Once they left the workshop, he would have no way to catch them if they scattered.

He swung his long blade at the vampire bringing up the rear, avoiding vital spots. Silver was simply too effective against vampires. One careless strike could kill his target instantly.

The vampires pursuing Blade also noticed what was happening. They stared in confusion at the fleeing Frost.

Weren't we here to capture Blade? Why does it look like the boss is running away now?

Seeing Yang Bo in hot pursuit, the vampires chasing Blade switched targets and charged toward him. Yang Bo frowned and darted aside to dodge the bullets coming from behind.

Watching Frost get farther and farther away gave him a headache. Ordinary vampires were nothing he couldn't find with enough time, but Frost was different. The words "Vampire Baron" stood out clearly above his head. Although Yang Bo didn't know what level he was, even one level mattered a great deal to him.

Shots cracked and clattered as bullets struck the clutter around Yang Bo. By sheer bad luck, a stray bullet ricocheted into his head and took off one health point.

"..."

"Fuck, my luck really is something else!"

As the footsteps behind him drew closer, he was about to charge out and trade his life for a few vampire kills when Blade, who had spent so long being chased, came running over. Holding a submachine gun, he pulled the trigger without mercy.

"Whew, two people really are so much better than one!"

Eating bread, Yang Bo jumped out from behind cover and rushed toward the vampires with a Stake in hand. Whenever he spotted a vampire below forty-five percent health, he immediately charged over to finish them off.

In that brief instant alone, Yang Bo took four or five bullets. Fortunately, he was wearing a full set of iron armor. Bullets could only deal two damage, while submachine gun rounds dealt just three.

He grabbed a vampire and held them in front of him. In the blink of an eye, the vampire's health bar drained like running water, dropping from seventy health points to just twenty. That was with the vampires' weapons not even firing silver bullets.

Dragging the vampire along, he rushed up to his next victim. Ignoring the terror on their face, he finished off the vampire in his grasp and reached out to grab a fresh meat shield.

"Something's wrong with this guy! He's taken several bullets, but they haven't done anything!"

"The boss has already left! Get out of here!"

The vampires panicked. Now they understood why Frost had suddenly fled.

Yang Bo wasn't about to give up on prey that had delivered itself to him. He charged toward them behind his meat shield, the Stake in his hand becoming an instrument of death.

Blade caught up and worked with Yang Bo to clear out the remaining vampires.

"Yang, how are you doing? Are you all right?"

Looking at the completely unscathed Blade beside him, Yang Bo couldn't help rolling his eyes.

Damn it, I'm killing Frost today no matter what. I've already died once! Just because you need to capture the Daywalker alive, you bastards won't fire a single bullet at him, huh?

"Blade, go get the car. We're chasing Frost down!"

At Yang Bo's words, Blade glanced at the fleeing vampires. After a moment's thought, he nodded and ran toward his car.

Yang Bo pulled more bread from his inventory and stuffed it into his mouth with a disgruntled expression. Since his health wasn't full, his hunger bar wasn't full either.

He killed the last vampire who hadn't escaped the workshop and picked up the loot from the ground. This had been a substantial haul. He now had enough [vampire blood] to reach level three. All he had to do was go back and find the Vampire Hunter to level up. Once he received two skill points and unlocked the [Hunter Weapons Table], he would be able to craft another signature hunter weapon: the [crossbow].

With the right crossbow bolts, Yang Bo wouldn't have to struggle like this anymore. He would be able to kill these vampires, who didn't even have a hundred health points, with ease from a distance.

An engine roared, and Blade pulled his black car up beside Yang Bo. Without hesitation, Yang Bo opened the door and climbed in. Blade was clearly fired up too. Working with Yang Bo had made tonight immensely satisfying.

The tires screeched against the ground, and a powerful surge pressed them back into their seats as the car shot forward like an arrow.

The vampires were fast, but they couldn't quite compare with a car. Soon, Yang Bo spotted the fleeing group.

"Blade, ignore them and find Frost. These guys are just lackeys. We can clean them up another time!"

"Sure, no problem!"

The car kept speeding ahead without slowing down. Before long, amid the dark, rundown factory grounds, Yang Bo spotted a conspicuous line of large text above one of the vampires ahead.

[Vampire Baron]

"Blade, he's up ahead. Speed up and ram him!"

The roar of the engine caught Frost's attention. He thought it was his men, but before he could feel pleased, the black car rapidly grew larger in his vision.

With a bang, Frost proved that even his formidable body was no match for steel. The tremendous impact sent him flying through the air.

"Blade, nicely done!!"
