Coulson and Blade looked like country bumpkins visiting the city, watching Yang Bo work without blinking, curious about everything.
Gold and a melon were placed on the block called a Crafting Table, then somehow combined into a gleaming golden melon slice.
"Yang, what does that thing do?"
Coulson pointed at the gleaming melon slice in Yang Bo's hand. It looked utterly unscientific, but on second thought, Yang Bo's special abilities weren't something modern science could explain either.
"You mean this Glistering Melon Slice? It's just a brewing ingredient. You can use it to make a Healing Potion!"
"Here, like this!"
As he spoke, Yang Bo took materials out of his inventory and made another Brewing Stand, then set it on the Crafting Table. Coulson and Blade both leaned in curiously, watching his next steps closely.
He dug a one-block hole in the ground, took out a Water Bucket, and poured the water into it. Then he took out the glass bottles he'd bought, converted them all into Minecraft Glass Bottles, and filled three Water Bottles from the water source block.
First, he put Blaze Powder into the Brewing Stand as fuel, then placed the three Water Bottles in its slots. Next, he took out the nether wart and glowstone he'd obtained in the Nether.
A few dozen seconds later, he had three pink Healing Potions.
Although Coulson and Blade had watched Yang Bo's entire process with their own eyes, they still wondered whether they were hallucinating. What had happened in barely ten minutes would take them a lifetime to recover from.
"Impossible... how is that possible!"
"Why did it turn pink? This..."
Seeing their utterly dumbfounded expressions, Yang Bo chuckled and gave the Healing Potion in his hand a shake.
"Coulson, interested in giving it a try?"
Coulson immediately nodded. Getting a little hurt was no big deal to him. What mattered was the effect of the potion in Yang Bo's hand.
"Sure! What do I need to do?"
Looking at Coulson's serious expression, Yang Bo smiled and shook his head.
"No rush. You'll have a chance to test it soon enough!"
He hadn't made the Healing Potions for no reason. He wanted to test whether Bor would gain special blood-draining abilities after successfully transforming.
After all, vampires in Minecraft could drain blood from a distance without ever touching their prey.
"Let's wait until Bor turns into a vampire!"
Just then, a construction truck barreled toward the parking lot with unstoppable momentum, and Coulson's phone rang at the same time.
Coulson glanced at his phone and said:
"Looks like the sand we wanted is here!"
He answered the call as the construction truck drove straight into the parking lot and came to a steady stop in front of the three of them.
Coulson quickly went over to the driver and said, "Leave the truck here and wait for my call!"
"Understood!"
The driver seemed professionally trained as well. Without the slightest hesitation, he jumped out of the cab, turned, and left the parking lot.
The truck was loaded to the brim with sand. Once the driver had left, Yang Bo climbed the ladder on its side, took a shovel out of his inventory, and collected every bit of sand in the truck bed into his inventory.
"Finally, I've got sand!"
He jumped down from the truck, ran over, took out a Furnace, and began smelting glass. Blade had seen Yang Bo smelt things before, so he wasn't particularly curious. But seeing Yang Bo effortlessly store an entire truckload of sand in his storage space, and remembering the stretch of wasteland outside his base, suddenly gave him an idea.
"Yang, how much can your special storage space hold?"
The moment he asked, Coulson perked up as well.
The sudden question stumped Yang Bo.
The question was: just how much could Steve's inventory hold with mods installed?
He lowered his head and fell silent.
The mods he'd played with before transmigrating kept flashing through his mind.
Multi-page inventory, increased stacking, better storage, Applied Energistics...
Seeing Yang Bo stay silent, Blade thought his question had touched on one of Yang Bo's secrets and quickly said, "I was just curious!"
"Don't feel pressured to answer!"
Blade's words snapped Yang Bo out of his recollections. Not knowing whether to laugh or cry, he said, "It's fine. It's not a secret!"
He shrugged and chuckled at the two of them. "I'm just wondering how much I can hold myself!"
"There's no way to calculate it..."
Blade: "..."
Coulson: "..."
A slightly chilly breeze blew past, breaking the awkward atmosphere.
Bor's voice came from inside the truck.
"Yang, are you still there? I feel like something's changed in my body!"
Hearing that, Yang Bo immediately walked over and jumped into the truck. Looking at Bor, whose blood sickness status was now gone, he asked, "Can you see the hearts above my head?"
"Hearts?"
Confusion appeared on Bor's broad face. He stared at Yang Bo's head and shook his own. "No. Why would there be hearts?"
Yang Bo looked at the 110 health points above Bor's head.
Looks like Bor hasn't been fully converted into game data!
"Then try saying 'inventory'!"
Although Bor was a little confused, he still followed Yang Bo's instructions and tried saying "inventory."
Yang Bo watched Bor's expression closely, but saw no change at all. That gave him a headache.
"Did the damn transformation work or not?"
Seeing Yang Bo's troubled expression, Bor began to panic as well.
Don't tell me I'm already useless!
Frost was dead now, and none of the other vampires would ever take care of him. If Yang Bo abandoned him, given his current size, his only fate would be to starve to death.
Bor's body began to tremble, his tiny eyes fixed on Yang Bo as he awaited his judgment.
Yang Bo looked at Bor and asked, "See if you've gained any special abilities. Try them on me!"
Bor immediately recalled the ability that had appeared in his mind earlier. It felt like an instinct. He nodded like a chicken pecking at grain and said, "Yes, yes, I have!"
He hesitantly extended a hand and said nervously:
"It seems to be a blood-draining ability. How about we find a vampire? I feel like I can drain vampires' blood now!"
Yang Bo was a Vampire Hunter. Bor might have been a vampire, but he wasn't an idiot. He couldn't possibly ask Yang Bo to grab a human off the street.
At that, Yang Bo raised an eyebrow slightly and smiled at Bor.
"That's a good idea! When we get the chance, I can let you hunt vampires yourself!"
"For now, just try it on me!"
Bor said nothing more. He held out his hand toward Yang Bo, and a large amount of blood appeared on it. At the same time, red particle effects appeared all over Yang Bo, and his health began dropping rapidly.
"Hold this!"
Yang Bo tossed Bor an empty Glass Bottle. After Bor caught it, some red liquid appeared inside out of thin air.
