"Wake up! Wake up!"

Smack, smack...

Yang Bo reached out and slapped Bor hard across the face. Sure enough, after receiving his loving treatment, Bor slowly came around and stared blankly at Yang Bo beside him.

"I... where am I?"

Yang Bo: "..."

A few seconds later, Bor finally gathered his wits, took the heart from Yang Bo, and struggled to stuff it into his mouth.

Watching Bor eat, Yang Bo rubbed his chin in puzzlement. Could getting struck by lightning help you lose weight? Why do I feel like this guy has slimmed down?

But after another look at the layers of fat on Bor's body, Yang Bo nipped that thought in the bud.

"How do you feel? Has anything changed?"

Bor assessed the changes in his body, then answered honestly, "My body seems a little stronger. Other than that, I don't feel anything!"

"Then think 'skills'!"

A few seconds later, Bor shook his head. "I don't feel anything!"

Looking at the plus sign beside Bor's health bar, Yang Bo couldn't help wondering, Could it be that only I can assign his skill points?

If that's the case, it'll make things so much easier. I won't have to worry about Bor getting any ideas about rebelling, either. I'll raise him to level three first, then see how he behaves!

At that thought, a pleased smile spread across Yang Bo's face, and he opened Bor's skill menu with a thought.

"Bor, you might notice some changes in a moment. Don't be alarmed!"

Once Bor nodded, Yang Bo looked at the skill points in the menu. Just like him, Bor received two skill points each time he leveled up.

The first skill a vampire could unlock was [Night Vision], a very practical skill, since vampires were active at night.

There was no choice to make, so he assigned the point straight away.

Bor froze for a moment, then his mouth fell open in disbelief. Everything around him looked as bright as day, but remembering what Yang Bo had just said, he kept quiet. His gaze toward Yang Bo merely grew even more respectful.

Next came [Regeneration], an active skill that granted the user 19 seconds of Regeneration I and 19 seconds of Blood Thirst III.

Blood Thirst worked much like the Hunger effect, increasing the rate at which satiety was consumed. Like Hunger, though, it caused almost no depletion as long as the user stayed still.

After that came the skill Yang Bo envied most, [Bat Transformation]. Using it allowed the user to transform into a bat, though the transformation would automatically end in the Overworld's sunlight or in water.

Then came the fourth skill, [Bat Summoning]. Using it while in bat form would release a swarm of bats around the user to distract enemies.

After spending all four skill points, Yang Bo clapped his hands and said earnestly, "I've given you special abilities now. Give them a proper try!"

He explained all the skills' effects to Bor, who grew more excited with every word, nodding with shining eyes.

"Thank you, my lord..."

Yang Bo waved a hand. Being called "my lord" felt awkward. He was an outstanding young man raised under the red flag, not some rich landlord from a feudal society.

"Bor, just call me Yang Bo from now on. What matters most is that you truly accept me."

"Right, turn into a bat first. Let me see!"

Bor nodded excitedly and, following Yang Bo's instructions, willed himself to transform. White smoke appeared, and his obese body vanished, replaced by a gray bat.

Yang Bo: "..."

"Bor, you have to lose weight!"

Bor had indeed transformed successfully, but the bat's proportions were utterly absurd. His round body was practically a ball, making his tiny head look completely out of proportion. He flapped his half-meter-long wings and hovered in midair.

Yang Bo had no doubt that, if this hadn't been a Minecraft vampire transformation, Bor would never have been able to fly with a body shaped like that.

"I will! I will!"

Bor's excited voice actually came from the bat's mouth. He had forgotten how long it had been since he'd last been able to move freely.

"Can... can I go outside?"

Yang Bo nodded. "Just stay in the air and follow me. I'll take you to where we'll be living from now on!" With that, he mined the altar inside the truck and tossed it into his inventory.

Blade and Coulson were now utterly captivated by the fat bat.

Blade, in particular, was a half-vampire himself. He swallowed as he watched the bat and murmured, "Yang, could you give me this Bat Transformation ability too? I'd even be willing to get struck by lightning!"

Everyone dreamed of flying, and even Blade, with his superhuman physique, was no exception.

Coulson, meanwhile, had only one thought in his head: take Yang Bo back and keep him comfortably looked after, without letting him come into contact with any other vampires.

The thought of every vampire in the world possessing this Bat Transformation ability made his scalp prickle.

Vampires already had physical abilities far beyond those of ordinary humans. If they could also turn into bats, gaining incredible mobility and stealth, then not only ordinary people but even well-trained agents like them would be easy targets for ambushes.

"Yang, can you give every vampire this kind of ability?"

Yang Bo looked at Coulson and recognized his concern. Shaking his head, he explained with a smile, "Relax, Coulson. What you're worried about won't happen!"

"Besides, I've just had a new idea!"

"I'm planning to establish a Hunter Association specifically to hunt down the vampires hiding in cities. If I rely on my own strength alone, it'll take far too long to wipe out every vampire in the world!"

Blade's eyes lit up, and he immediately declared, "Yang, if you really establish an association like that, I'll definitely join!"

No one was more enthusiastic about hunting vampires than he was.

"Even if you didn't join, I'd find a way to make you!"

Yang Bo nodded. He was now ready to find a place to establish the Hunter Association, dedicated to cleaning up this trash.

Coulson's feelings were complicated. He understood the implication behind Yang Bo's words: he could indeed give other people these abilities with ease, but he stood against the vampires.

Seeing that Coulson had nothing more to say, Yang Bo invited them outright:

"Come on, let's stop by my place! I know you two must be very curious!"

Only then did Coulson perk up and nod. "Really? If I'd known, I would've bought some gifts to bring!"

"Heh!"

Yang Bo led the two men into the woods in Central Park.

"We're here!"

Coulson and Blade both paused, glancing at the surrounding woods. Then, remembering Yang Bo's abilities, they turned their attention to the ground. Sure enough, they spotted a patch that looked different from the rest of the grass.

Yang Bo took out a shovel and dug up the grass block, revealing an entrance leading underground. He extended a hand in invitation and said, "Welcome to my humble home!"
