Yang Bo's underground space.
Three men and a fat bat sat on the sofa, with only the crackle of burning torches around them. Yang Bo took out two bottles of Coca-Cola and gently set them on the coffee table in front of Blade and Coulson.
"I don't have any other drinks at home, so I won't stand on ceremony!"
Neither man was in the mood for drinks. Taking in the spacious surroundings and all the strange decorations already left them overwhelmed and dumbfounded.
Coulson looked astonished. "Yang, your ability really is amazing. According to the information I have, you've only been in New York for four or five days, yet you've already dug out a space like this beneath Central Park!"
Yang Bo glanced around the underground space he had dug out and said nothing, tacitly agreeing with Coulson. He picked up his drink, twisted off the cap, and gulped it down.
Burp~
"Coulson, keep an eye out for those things I mentioned!"
"Here's your deposit!"
With a thud, Yang Bo tossed a Gold Ingot onto the table.
Coulson's eyelid twitched at the sight.
Goddamn, why do I feel so exhausted?
Blade looked at the Gold Ingot on the table with envy in his eyes. He was poor-even poorer than Spider-Man.
He got by on watches looted from the vampires he killed each day, but not every vampire wore a watch. Often, he didn't even have time to remove one before the vampire's death burned everything on them to ashes.
Coulson nodded, but said, "I can help you collect them, but I don't need money. Could you pay me with information instead?"
His instincts told him Yang Bo knew a great deal of important information that he didn't.
Yang Bo put the glass bottle of Coca-Cola back on the coffee table with a crisp clink, then leaned back against the sofa and felt around in his pocket. Only after taking out his cigarette pack did he realize he had smoked them all. He frowned and tossed the pack into the trash can.
Seeing this, Coulson smiled, took an unopened pack of cigarettes out of his pocket, opened it, and offered it to Yang Bo.
"I've been carrying these around for two days!"
Yang Bo's eyes lit up as he accepted the cigarettes and the elegant lighter Coulson offered. He was a simple man who loved possessions that let him show off.
He lit a cigarette, took a drag, and said, "I know what you want to know, brother!"
"You're not mentally prepared for it yet!"
Coulson smiled. "Knowing sooner is better than knowing later, isn't it?"
Yang Bo nodded. After thinking it over, he agreed, but he needed to wait-at least until Captain America had grown stronger-before releasing the information. Captain America still commanded great respect in the United States!
"There's no rush. Don't worry!"
"Coulson, I do know a few things, but you're not offering enough!"
"Of course, if you consider me a friend, I'd advise you to leave S.H.I.E.L.D. and join my Hunter Association!"
Looking as though Coulson would be getting the deal of a lifetime, Yang Bo continued, "If the Hunter Association grows powerful in the future, you'll be one of its founding members!"
Coulson: "..."
He felt like a civil servant doing perfectly well at his job, only for someone to suddenly tell him to quit and collect garbage instead. Although he knew Yang Bo's organization might turn out fairly well, the gap between it and a global organization like S.H.I.E.L.D. was simply too vast.
"What's important now is how we deal with the vampires!"
Glancing at the fat bat sitting on the sofa beside them, Yang Bo continued, "We won't need many people at first. Ten or so will do!"
"First, we'll wipe out all the vampires in New York. If vampires elsewhere try to reach into New York, we'll cut their hands off!"
Blade wholeheartedly agreed with Yang Bo. The vampires in New York were now leaderless, with only vast numbers of small fry remaining.
The two discussed the details of their plan while Coulson quietly watched from the sidelines.
An hour later.
The heated one-man debate came to an end. Judging by Blade's frequent nods, the result was obvious: Yang Bo had easily convinced him and changed some of his views.
Yang Bo stroked his chin. "Blade, go find somewhere suitable for a base. It doesn't matter whether it draws attention!"
"Leave it to me."
Blade flashed his white teeth, which almost seemed to gleam. Through his discussion with Yang Bo, he had finally seen hope of wiping out the vampires for good.
He had also witnessed Yang Bo's staggering wealth and his determination to bury the vampires under money if that was what it took.
It's good to be rich!
That was his most heartfelt thought that night.
Once the two finished their discussion, Coulson stood and announced his intention to leave. "I think I should head back. I'm not as energetic as you two. Rogers is expected to wake up tomorrow, and I'd like to be there to keep an eye on things!"
The three men and one bat left Yang Bo's underground "mansion." After seeing Coulson off, Yang Bo and Blade began that night's hunt.
They drove the truck straight toward Frost's building. A man by the roadside dressed like a vagrant caught Yang Bo's attention.
Even standing in a dark corner couldn't hide the golden outline around him.
"Stop the truck! There's a vampire by the road!"
Screech~
The brakes screeched. In bat form, Bor couldn't hold on to anything, and his entire body smacked against the windshield with a splat.
"..."
Yang Bo grabbed Bor and threw him out the window.
"Go!"
Still dizzy, Bor hadn't recovered before Yang Bo hurled him toward the vampire by the roadside.
With a bang, Bor slammed into the vampire. For a moment, both were bewildered.
Bor reacted first. Having never fought before, he was utterly panicked and frantically flapped his wings, trying to get away from the vampire.
The vampire came to his senses as well and grabbed Bor's wing.
"A bat?"
Then he turned toward the truck and met Yang Bo's faintly amused gaze.
"Bor, undo your transformation!"
At the command of his trainer, Yang Bo, Bor finally snapped out of it.
"Ah..."
A muffled scream came from beneath Bor's terrifying backside. Even with a vampire's constitution, the man couldn't move beneath several hundred pounds of fat.
"Drain him!"
A blood-red light appeared in Bor's hand, and the screams grew fainter and fainter. This was different from draining Yang Bo.
The blood in the vampire's body was truly drawn out, gathering in Bor's hand. Yang Bo got out of the truck, walked over, and handed Bor several glass bottles to store it in.
The vampire's health was depleted, but instead of bursting into flames, he turned into something resembling stone dust and crumbled into powder.
"Nice work!"
Between the praise and his first taste of combat, Bor was swept into a frenzy. His little eyes shone with eagerness, and he could hardly wait to find another vampire to try it on.
He transformed back into a bat, then suddenly spotted the dropped [Vampire Fangs] and [Vampire Blood] on the ground. He immediately flapped his wings and picked them up.
"Some strange things appeared underneath me!"
Yang Bo held out his palm and accepted the loot Bor brought him, a hint of surprise on his face.
I didn't expect Bor to be able to see the drops!
Normally, only he could see items dropped by monsters. Others could only see them after he picked them up and took them out of his inventory.
