Miaomiao suddenly thought of a brilliant idea.
Milk was water too!
Never mind its ingredients or anything else. As far as the Merfolk were concerned, any liquid that flowed freely was water!
And if it was water, a merperson could control it!
With a gentle sweep and curl of her pale, delicate fingers, the milk in the bucket rose into a thin, milky-white stream, hovering in midair in defiance of gravity. Then, guided by Miaomiao, it flowed precisely into the milk bottles.
"Whoa, cool!" Little Jo's eyes widened.
"How amazing."
Martha hadn't expected the Little Girl to have this trick up her sleeve. It was far faster than ladling the milk out by hand, one scoop at a time.
In no time at all, every milk bottle was filled to the brim, ready for the milkman to collect.
"Miaomiao, your ability is so handy!" A thought suddenly struck Little Jo. "Say, if there was a drought and the fields needed watering by hand, wouldn't this ability be really useful?"
Damian rolled his eyes. Water Manipulation this powerful would be incredible for both offense and support in a fight, and all Jonathan Kent could think about was watering crops?!
To his surprise, Miaomiao gave it serious thought too. "It would depend. The Merfolk can only control water, not create it out of thin air. If it were a severe drought over a large area, there probably wouldn't be many water sources nearby, so it would be hard to irrigate the fields with Hydrokinesis. If it were just an ordinary drought, though, I could bring water over from nearby sources."
"Wow!"
Damian was speechless. Hey, you two were actually discussing this?!
Martha smiled at the three children. "All right, the milk is bottled, and there aren't any other chores right now. You
