The "Complete Guide to Gotham Villains" was something Bruce and the others had specially prepared for the Little Merfolk, who had only recently come ashore. After seeing Miaomiao somehow make friends with Poison Ivy and Killer Croc, they had worried that the innocent girl might be deceived and exploited by Gotham City's residents-especially those "talented individuals" in Arkham.
It was a thick, bricklike volume, packed with illustrated entries and accompanied by a complete set of audiovisual materials. Its whole selling point was that it had everything.
And Two-Face's entry was one that had left quite an impression on Miaomiao.
"Two-Face-is he that ugly guy whose left and right sides are different colors?"
Hearing the Little Merfolk's assessment, the other three exchanged looks.
"Well, you're not wrong?" Tim thought for a moment, then shared a little of the story the girl didn't know. "Before he was disfigured, Two-Face was actually a very upright judge and one of Bruce's closest friends. He was known as Gotham's 'Bright Knight.' He and Bruce worked in the light and the shadows respectively, coordinating with Gordon, the commissioner of the Gotham Police Department, to bring Gotham City's crime rate to a historic low. Unfortunately, it was also his sense of justice that led to his downfall. A vicious attack targeting him destroyed him and turned him into another Gotham villain."
"Tch, give me a break, Drake." Damian scoffed. "It was just disfigurement. That guy already had psychological issues, or having his face ruined wouldn't have changed his personality so completely. Flipping a coin to decide everything... I honestly can't believe it. Does he have to flip a coin in the morning to decide whether to get out of bed, what to wear, whether to brush his teeth, and which foot to step with first?"
