At Batman's request, Miaomiao released the Mad Hatter from her Illusion Song's control. Nightwing then took her back to the Batcave, so she knew nothing of what happened afterward.
Now she was sitting in a chair in the Batcave, staring wide-eyed at a girl with long blonde hair who stared right back.
The girl was the one in the purple-and-black suit she had seen at the Mad Hatter's hideout. She had heard Batman and the others call her "Spoiler."
Things had been chaotic earlier, and time had been tight. The girl had also been wearing a hood and mask, making it hard to see what she looked like. Now that they were sitting face-to-face, she had taken off her hood and mask, revealing her lovely blonde hair and bright blue eyes.
"Hi?" Stephanie studied the girl before her curiously. "Nice to meet you. I'm Stephanie Brown, codename 'Spoiler.' Um, Miaomiao? Or can I call you Little Fish?"
"Either..."
Miaomiao was about to answer, "Either is fine," when Damian interrupted her.
"Hey, don't just call her that! Little Fish is the name I gave her."
Damian was pretty frustrated, too. "Little Fish" was supposed to be a nickname he had picked out especially for her. How had it somehow become what everyone called her?
Miaomiao blinked, looking at Damian beside her and then at Stephanie in front of her, unsure whom to answer.
To her, "Miaomiao," "Little Fish," and even her codename, "Quan Ke," were all simply names people could use to call her. As long as there was no malice behind it, she was happy with whatever they called her.
Just as Jason called her "Little Fish Cub," Little Croc called her "Little Cub," Pamela and Harley called her "Little Cake," and Selina called her "little girl"...
