The vines Pamela grew could easily crush human bones, and the acid held inside those enormous flower buds was a deadly toxin that could corrode steel and leave a burly man limp in an instant.
But the person before her was no stranger. It was Harley.
It was Harleen Quinzel, who had called her back from hell to the world of the living when she had been at her most crazed, most fractured, most desperate, keeping her from withering away and dying in her madness.
"No... Harley... don't go..."
Tears filled Pamela's emerald eyes.
"You know... he only sees you as a sidekick, a useful tool..."
"You're lying! Don't you dare bad-mouth Puddin!"
Harley swung the Baseball Bat in her hand, knocking aside the vines winding toward her, and lunged for her Modified Motorcycle.
"No! Harley! Come back!"
Unable to bring herself to hurt Harley, Pamela could only watch helplessly as she climbed onto the motorcycle.
The engine roared to life, and the Modified Motorcycle's tires scraped across the ground with a piercing screech. The tears on Harley's face had yet to dry, but all that remained in her bloodshot eyes was the obsession with finding her lover.
She twisted the throttle all the way, and the motorcycle surged forward-
But the next second, a weightless figure drifted down in front of it like willow fluff. With a slight lift of her pale fingertips, she firmly pinned down the wildly vibrating handlebars.
"Whew! Just in time!"
That was close, Miaomiao exclaimed inwardly.
She really wasn't very fast on land, so she had been forced to come by car. Dick had already been driving the Lamborghini as though it were the Batmobile, yet she had still wished the wheels would turn faster.
Fortunately, she had stopped Harley here.
"Little Cake! Move!"
