Through exceptionally cruel methods, the slave masters of Slaver's Bay brainwashed and trained people abducted from all over the world into obedient slaves who answered unquestioningly to these lifeless objects. Just thinking about it made Danyla feel that the whips were steeped in sin and blood.
She took the gem-studded gold whips and tossed them straight down before Dreamfyre, who melted them with a mouthful of dragonfire. Then Danyla approached the Unsullied and declared loudly,
"There are no slaves in Westeros (though the lives of its subjects are hardly any better!). From this day forth, I-Danyla Targaryen, Princess of the Seven Kingdoms and Lady of Holy Flame Island-command you to remove the slave collars around your necks. Danyla's actions first left the Unsullied stunned. They exchanged glances, but soon recovered and dropped to one knee before her. In accented Valyrian, they spoke in unison,
